Currently reading… I‘m loving the writing on this!
I started this one a few weeks ago and read about 30% and put it down, because I was distracted with other books. Decided to pick it up again last night and I‘m 50% in now and it‘s getting so interesting.
With the political climate the way it is in the US at the moment, a “Debt Police,” does not read so fictional. 😐

This was beautifully written and told in different POVs across many years.
Twins Drita and Fred were adopted by their mother, Jackie, when they were babies. We follow this family as secrets begin to unfold. The author did an excellent job portraying how identity or the search of it can shape who we become.

The power of the re-read! When I first read this book 6 years ago, I was going through a major life shift, and it was a very confusing time. But losing myself in this story, helped.
Picked this up again recently on a whim, at a time when I am again going through a major shift in my life. I already loved this story, but it took on a whole different meaning this time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Picked this up again today for a little change of pace from another current read…AAAND this book is getting intense!
This story focuses on Jessica and Linda who have a very unbalanced friendship. Jessica is used to Linda living in her shadow and when she starts to distance herself from her (heavily influenced by her new boyfriend, Mark), Jessica starts to unravel.
I could not put down this book for 2 days and just when I thought that the events were leading me to a disappointing end, the author surprised me.

I love a food industry memoir. And this was a great one! Hannah‘s writing is engaging from the first paragraph and the only thing I found myself skimming were the recipes (some of which I want to make…someday).
In this memoir, Hannah recounts how she fell in love with restaurants, rose through the ranks to become a sommelier, but the industry continuously broke her heart.
Read it!

Current audiobook! This is a re-read for me because I never read book 2.
It‘s been nice revisiting this story and these characters ❤️
Percy and Joe meet at a college bar and start dissecting a song…We follow them becoming best friends, having a deep attraction to each other but the timing was never right.
They go their separate ways after college, but somehow keep circling back to each other because of music.
Loved the nostalgia on this. Loved their mutual best friend, Zoe.

This just happened… 🥹
When Netflix announced that one of my favorite book series was getting its own show, I was elated. Then it was announced that there were only going to be 3 seasons (it‘s a 4-book series). I had my doubts, but the author was one of the Executive Producers, so I held on to the hope that they would do a good job…IT WAS A DISASTER!
Fans were not OK with this, and we were very vocal about it…👇🏽
Been slowly reading this one for a few days and I‘m enjoying it, so far.
*Sigh* This was fun until it wasn‘t…The mafia plot introduced on the second half is boring me to tears.
Bailing at 74% 😐 and returning to library since there are other people waiting for it.
My hold for this audiobook came in last night and I consumed it in less than 24 hours!
My heart broke for those innocent children and the horrors they had to live through.
Especially loved how Shari never mentioned her younger siblings‘ names in order to not take away their own narratives.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was parts funny while dealing with a serious subject. I found that this approach taken by the author was the right one.
I loved Nadia and her eagerness to make a difference, while at the same time fighting with her own trauma. I am also glad that everything I thought I had figured out about Sara was way off the mark 😅
The secondary characters were also the right amount of great/complex/messed up to keep you on your toes.

25% check-in: I am loving this!!!! Yes, it‘s utterly ridiculous, but I‘m having so much fun.
Already looked up the 2nd book, but it comes out in June…I‘ll be stalking (🤣🤣) NetGalley for an ARC!
Starting this on my search for a dark romance that completely sucks me in (haven‘t found one yet…Help, Litsy friends!! ❤️)
Will keep you updated! 🤭😅
I‘m not really enjoying this (not that this is a joyful book). I just find that the background information being presented drags on for longer than necessary and I‘m starting to lose focus.
That feeling you get when a new book is kindly sent to you and it looks so good you just want to drop everything and start reading…
Look at this gorgeous cover!❤️❤️ #arc
This was a great read! The story follows three generations of women in an Iranian family. A part of them immigrate to the US, so we are given POVs about their lives and how they are deeply rooted in each other, even when a couple of them have not seen each other in years or met in person.
These women are very privileged and most of the time it made them navigate life without any regard to consequences.

Trying to get through some library loans and started this last night. I can already tell this is going to be a tough read for me, but I can‘t put it down.
Couldn‘t take any more suffering. Beautiful writing, though.
This was marvelous! I love the way Tucci narrates and the recipes and dishes all sounded delicious!
Easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story centers around a murdered mute man in the town of Belén del Chamí (a town so small that it does not even figure in the official map of Colombia), and how his widow and sons deal with the aftermath.
I liked the premise of the book, I think the story was told in a great way. What made me give it a lower rating was that I‘ve read so many stories similar to this one that they somehow start to blend together.

Current audiobook…Love Tucci!
OK, I get it now. This was very entertaining and I had a few laughs thanks to Finlay and Vero. I am looking forward to continuing the rest of the series.

This was good! Loved The Goldfinch a bit more. But I am happy I was able to listen to the audiobook since I was not making a lot of progress on print.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book took me longer than I expected to finish because I was so emotional while reading it that I had to keep putting it down. I even considered DNF‘ing a few times, the emotions were running too deep.
I‘m so glad I stuck with it. This book was both beautiful and ugly, but a story that needs to be to told.
If you love multigenerational stories, this book is for you!

Could not sleep last night and all the books I‘m currently in the middle of deal with heavy topics, so I decided to start this…Already so intrigued! #arc
I enjoyed this second book so much more than the first. In this one, we follow Diana after her separation from her husband, Oliver and how they are working through this new family dynamic. Diana also reconnects with a past love…Could the second time be the charm?
Loved this one. Can‘t wait to read the third installment!

I went into this story completely blind and it turned out to be such a clever little book!

Need a break from a super-intense read and decided to start this. Hoping I enjoy this second installment more than the first! #arc
The covers on these books are always gorgeous 🥰
I can already say that this is going to be one of my favorite books of 2025!
The story centers around Arabella, Naya and Zoya. Three generations of women who are trying to navigate the cards that were dealt to them as Palestinian women. This was so beautifully written that I wish I could read it again for the first time.
Read this! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Out tomorrow!
In this memoir, the author recounts her time learning family recipes with her Grandma, and slowly digging out her Dad‘s life experiences by learning to make the dishes that brought him joy as a child.
I loved this one. One of the main issues discussed was how we carry our family‘s trauma and make it a central part of our identity, and how she eventually became her family‘s storyteller through food.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book sucked me in completely for a few days and it became the book that I thought about most about when I was not reading it. Loved the dual POVs for Max and Vincent, it was a great way to give us a more in-depth look at these 2 very complex characters. Loved, loved the ending!
This is my first time reading the author and I can‘t wait to read Bellies now.
I highly recommend this book!

Audiobook hold finally came in. I loved The Goldfinch on audio and I couldn‘t wait to listen to this one.
This was one of the most heartbreaking but at the same time the most beautiful memoir I‘ve ever read.
I‘m sobbing…

First encounter with Coates‘ writing and now I can‘t wait to read his backlist.
The 3 essays in this book were chock-full of information about the author‘s impressions during his travels and how history has a way of repeating itself throughout different cultures.
Loved!

My Kindle will be attached to my hand until I finish this book! #arc
Current audiobook…I know this is going to wreck me…
I‘ve always enjoyed Eve‘s music, but can‘t say I was a fan so I didn‘t follow her career and how she got there. I enjoyed this memoir because it gave me the answers I was looking for. It also made me appreciate her more as an artist.
