It‘s not that this wasn‘t a good book, because it was. It was just a really slow read. It did have a lot of history and I like that. There were several times I wanted to put it down and say it‘s that‘s enough but I had to finish it.

This was a beautiful story about the life of a dog, the inner workings of a family, and their love of their pet Trixie. This book ran a whole gamut of emotions. Totally recommend.
This was a good follow up to the Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, showing how her daughter honored her family by continuing in with her mothers dedication to serve the people of her community.
I really enjoyed this book, it never ceases to amaze me how people can be so cruel, due to truly, their ignorance, and yet how the oppressed can rise above this treatment and still do what‘s right regardless of the ugliness around them,
Loved this book about the dedication of a woman wanting to save her family, and how others viewed it differently due to the fact that their views on family obligation differed from hers. Ultimately Helga persevered and her story comes full circle brought to fruition by the dedication of her family to get her story told.
I just couldn‘t get into this book, it seemed to jump all over the place. It was very hard to follow for me.
This book was such a good book. I started reading it because I have a cousin who was commander of a squadron of fighter jets during this time, sadly he was shot down right off the island where these POW‘s were being held, but after reading this book maybe that was actually a blessing. An amazing book about the resilience of humans, what they can go through, and still survive and ultimately forgive largely in part due to their faith. Loved it!!
This was a great book about the struggles of a woman, daughter, and family during the dust bowl and depression years, and the strength she achieved through her struggles navigating life during this era, and the legacy she was able to leave behind for her children.
I loved this book having spent a lot of my childhood years visiting my grandmother in Spokane, a lot of the places were familiar to me in this book. This book kept my interest there were some slow spots but it was very interesting learning about the corruption in the police department and the sheriffs dedication to solving this crime years later. I thought it was a great read.
Just a good easy read about loss, love, family and how secrets can complicate things.
I really enjoyed this book, it‘s filled with lots of Korean history and with basically how the Korean women lived that belonged to a diving collective their lives and their friendships.
I want to say I really liked this book, it did keep my attention up until about 2/3rds of the way through then it slowly died down and to me ended a little flat. It was interesting and different just not dynamic.
Loved this book about memories of the authors mom, relatives and friends cooking. and how it influenced his memories of growing up in the south. Funny, entertaining feel good read.
I enjoyed this book It was a good read. If there was any downfall, it would be that the ending drug out a little bit. But for the most part it was a good story. It contained a bit of history, some romance, and a little bit of mystery.
I liked this book it‘s about being an American living abroad in Italy at first going to school then meeting an Italian guy and immersing yourself into his Italian family and learning about the differences and how to adapt. It was a good read a little slow in places but nevertheless still good.
I loved this book. Brought out a whole gamut of emotions. Having lived through watching someone I love go through an abusive situation this really hit home for me. Such a well written book.
Good easy read if you‘re into highland romance
I absolutely loved this book. A totally different read With a whole gamut of emotions. Unpredictable right to the very end.
Heartwarming story about love, loss, tragedy and healing the wounds of past mistakes.
This book deepens the relationships and ties in the family. As well as continuing on with the historical society to order. On to the next book.
I absolutely loved this book about Billie who moved across the country to work for a good magazine. The story is very captivating kept my interest from the beginning to the end didn‘t want to put it down. The story had some good twists and turns too. Totally captivating especially if you‘re a foodie.
Finally the war is coming to an end and the toll it has taken on the country is horrendous.
As the war intensifies lives are changed in this historical saga of the civil war.
The saga continues the characters lives intertwine even more. Still not a intense read but it is very historical and captures your continued interest.
I really like this book it‘s historical it was a little slow to start with but once it got going I am now hooked excited to see what happens to Carrie in the next book.
Slow moving but still enough to keep me interested to go on to book number 2. I do like the historical part and that it takes place where my ancestors resided in the past.
