I liked this book and really enjoyed the story. It's definitely more of a character driven book. It was a nice relaxing read and a break from the high drama books I've been reading.

BookishMarginalia I'm curious then, why the so-so? 7y

I liked the story line but it was dragged out and the ending just wasn't for me. I just was disappointed after all 530 pages or so I just didn't love it. Someone else might really love it but for not for me.

I LOVED this book! I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series. It captivated me and I genuinely want to know how the series continues. Happy I found a new series!

Currently reading. I don't really read YA, the last one I read was Mockingjay. I always want more from the books. This one I'm torn. When I am reading it, I like it. I don't love it but I read it with enjoyment. When I'm not reading it I'm not dying to pick it up again, so it's making this process very slow. I'm hoping it picks up a little more!

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the writing was beautiful and really made you feel like you were there! I do agree that it was a little drawn out, definitely more of a character study. I wish there was a little more action. I felt like the middle was so long that the ending was too swift. But overall I liked it!

I really enjoyed this book and I really enjoyed King's writing in this. I found it descriptive and captivating. Even though I had a vague idea of what would happen I still found myself creeped out at times. There are definitely quite a few scenes that will stay with me, because King made them feel believable! I'm so glad I read this! Perfect for Fall!

Listening to the Stuff Mom Never Told You podcast called Feminist Fight Club with the author Jessica Bennett. I love this podcast and definitely want to pick this book up!

It was an interesting story and I liked how the author told the story and the order of events, it was suspenseful but not misleading. The last few chapters really interested me as it started to try and resolve the mystery the book had laid out. That was definitely my favorite part of the book when everything comes together. I would recommend this book to someone that enjoys history non-fiction!

I'm really enjoying The Lost City of Z. It is a nonfiction book but often feels like you're reading a fiction novel. I can't wait to keep reading!
