Great read! Very insightful, yet candid point of view on how to best live your life. Also, I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is great! #audiobook #philosophy #selfhelp #thinker

Really enjoyed this one! The beginning is amazing, but I think it started to trail off toward the end. Also, I‘ve loved the symbology in these his books and this one didn‘t seem to have as many as the other. Still, a captivating read! #origin #solidread

Only 200 pages in, and this book is soooo good! I‘ve loved all of Dan Brown‘s books, but this might be the most captivating one of them all! #origin #danbrown #bestbooks

Really enjoying this book and it‘s many story lines! People weren‘t kidding in its reviews that it lives up to the graphic content that Stephen King usually has in his books! I‘m waiting until the end, but this feels like it‘s shaping up to be a recommendation! #travelreads #coffeepic

I love Tom Hanks and was super excited for this book! Unfortunately, I don‘t think it lived up to the hype. Some of the stories fall flat and/or are difficult to get excited about. All this said, there are a few stories that I truly enjoyed, such as Who‘s Who, Stay With Us, and The Past Is Important To Us. I didn‘t care too much for the news article formats though.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was written in a very easy way to understand some very complex perspectives. I learned a lot about Buddhism and it was a quick read! This was exactly what I was looking for. Plus, the author was a Buddhist for 15+ years! #insightfullearning #insightful

This book made me decide that I‘m not that big of a fan of this writer. This book was very bizarre, dark, and raunchy. This normally doesn‘t bother me and I can enjoy this style, but I enjoy having some kind of an ending to the story. I thought the ending was pretty weak. Nothing like the ending to Fight Club! #disappointed

After reading his first book Sapiens, I was super excited to read Homo Deus. Unfortunately, my expectations fell short. Yuval starts the book out fairly strong and kept my excitement, but it didn‘t take long for me to despise some of the preachiness of his writing. He also references previously debunked theory, such as the Bicameral Mind Theory from the 70s, as if it is factual. On the contrary though, many psychologists have debunked this theory.

You know the feeling of WANTING to be interested in history, but when you start the first page of a historical nonfiction, you fall asleep before Page 5? Me too! 😜 However, this book was so interesting and kept me entranced with its historical rhetoric the entire way through. PLUS it has pictures! I learned a ton while taking away a new perspective on life.
