Very good all the way through
I‘ve liked every Joe Hill book I‘ve read
Making dinner can feel so monotonous but this idea gives new energy to a daily task.
Could be a good movie someday.
I‘ve always wanted to go to Haiti. Hearing Wyclef Jean as a teen made a big impression for some reason.
This book was pretty good.
“Recognizing the silence of someone else‘s happiness”
Just so-so at the halfway mark. It was very meta to find this book in the library that is mentioned in the book.
A lot of people involved makes for a slow start but great once it gets rolling.
Leo DiCaprio meme. When the name of the book is mentioned in the first paragraph
I was in awe of the pride each person puts into their role building these amazing floating cities.
I had high hopes for this one.
Halfway thru and can‘t tell if I like this one. A thriller but boring too somehow
Good read as usual from Michael Lewis. The book will make you mad about all the mistakes made with our handling of the pandemic.
New reading buddy.
Early on I thought this book might take more of a turn towards sci-fi. Pretty good overall, felt let down by the ending.
The Berkshires‽ I live in the Berkshires! Insert Leo DiCaprio pointing meme.
I‘m really enjoying this book but I feel a little guilty as a man reading this book. Can‘t wait for my wife to read it and see the differing ideas we pull from it.
I love a book that name drops other books and authors that can send you on a journey of discovery.
Nice to know my wife and are not alone in this. Every time we watch a show about English history we end up down the wiki rabbit hole trying to figure out what was going on.
Amazing stuff here about how big GE was and the crazy corporate culture they had in place. And how much that culture influenced some amazing books.
Giving this one a reread after seeing a replay of the 95 WC Final last weekend.
“We didn‘t have 65,000. We had the support of 43 million behind us.”
Dave Eggers seems like the kind of guy you want to share some beers with.
So good. The best books bring out new thoughts in your head but are mainly flat out entertaining!
The ending let me down but lots of great stuff on the way. Some hard truths about marriage
Based on the first 100 pages this is going to make for a great movie.
The format takes some getting used to but then the ending comes up fast.
