What a read! This novel is an epic historical fiction covering WWII from beginning to end, focusing on two women - sisters - who face different, but equal, dangers as women during the war. The story is of the women of the war who faced everyday dangers, who risked it all to help in the resistance, or keep their children safe. It‘s heart pounding, edge of your seat, nerve wracking from start to finish. Excellent storytelling. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚

This book is INTENSE. For a longer book, I was surprised at how the author is able to keep the tension going the entire time. It‘s incredible - a fantastic read, but it‘s intensity means I‘m only reading it in shorter bursts. Any more than a chapter or so at a time and my nerves can‘t take it. So good. So maddening. So heartbreaking. So nerve wracking waiting for the inevitable to happen. ❤️💔

Awesome read was not sure if I could get into it!!!! Loved this book!!

Reading this next. It will be my first read of 2023, as we are about to begin our game night for NYE here. It doesn‘t help me with my series challenge, but it has been on my TBR forever. ❤️📚

I have finished the in 2 days, it is this kind of book you cannot leave it. I‘ve read about similar war stories multiple times and as always only one thing comes to mind- how come people can do that to others??? What‘s was wrong with them?
