"Everyone needs a hobby."
"I thought yours was preening."
"Two hobbies."
"Fingers to fingers and thumb to thumb. A pair of sister's like matching gloves"
"Fear doesn't listen to reason."
"If they were meant to be in your life, nothing could ever make them leave. If they weren't, nothing in the world could make them stay."
"So perfect you could frame it and hang it."
"While you're waiting for your Author to perfect her prose, I suggest taking up a hobby. Me? I knit my eyebrows together. I've produced many lovely scarves this way."
This is definitely in my top ten of the year!
Monsters shouldn't be able to blend in with normal people. If a kid came face-to-face with one, how were they supposed to know?
But why does silence need to be filled at all? I love silence. It is my favorite music
"Batten down the hatches, knave! Alastor said. This ship is about to set sail!"
"You're scaring it!" Listener cried.
"It's scaring me!" Clearsight shouted back.
We didn't need the play. Everyone was already pretending to be someone else.
"I hated sharing my bed with a cat. Sometimes I woke with a tail in my face and there always seemed to be hair in the sheets."
"You're so stiff," she said. "It's like trying to comfort a piece of wood."
"Galloping into heaven. I liked the sound of that."
"Not actually," Susan said. "Not anymore. Go to bed."
She tried to hoist me up, but I made myself boneless and limp and slithered back to the ground.
Diana had flipped through page after page on the laptop's screen. It had taken some getting used to, and her fingers still hungered for the feel of paper, but her mind was greedy for the information that flowed before her.
"Uh, Diana's homeschooled," said Alia.
"Under a rock?" Asked Nim.
"Jason never changed his mind. Mules could take lessons in stubbornness from him."
"I could hear Jamie screaming upstairs. Miss Smith was either bathing him or slaughtering him; either was fine by me."
"Any cop worth his donuts would figure we were up to no good"
"You're right," Quibli said to her. "Underneath the brainwashing genocidal murderer is a very lonely brainwashing genocidal murderer."
"Winter thinks the mountains are going to eat him," Quibli answered.
"I DO NOT," Winter protested. "But I do think they're going to kill me, yes."
"Ha ha, dragon pun, wing it. I'm hilarious."
I'm a huge eater, normally. Like, chocolate is terrified when it hears my footsteps huge.

A cute and quick read perfect for dog lovers! I've never read haiku by a dog, but there's a first time for everything. I have no complaints or anything I dislike from this book, it was sweet, funny, and charming in the way only a dog could be.
My heart flutters, and I clutch my phone like it's my lifeline. I breathe deeply and make myself look busy-writing texts to nobody, fake-reading my Instagram. I know this is a perfect scenario for my SAD to flare up.
A cute little picture book about a black cat named Plume. I loved that the feathers were labeled. And the artwork was gorgeous! This book is perfect for young readers.
This Wizard of Oz story accompanied with patterns inspired by the characters is absolutely perfect! It reminds me of a crochet-a-long that you can read-a-long to. I recommend this for book clubs & book lovers who crochet. I'll definitely reading The Wizard Of Oz after this!
Never read Pittacus lore before but this looks great so far!
He was Homeschooled, which really meant he was self-schooled
We girls are so good at hiding our pain
He tells me that high school is no utopia, but I'm not convinced. What else would you call a place that exists solely to teach you about the world? What do you call a place with friends and teachers and libraries and book club and math club and debate club and any other kind of club and after-school activities and endless possibilities?
"Yvonne."
She flips the page, hoping her mother will stop calling her.
At least until she gets to the end of the chapter. She has to know if-
