One of my favorite relationships of SJMs books. It is the closest relationship I have ever found to the bond between my pittie and me. They give eachother strength, love, their lives, their hearts, complete devotion and unyielding courage, faith and respect. They love not inspite of but because of who they are. I would argue their bond equal to any mating bond.
I posted about being rather indifferent about "The Last Wish" and I'm even more so with this one. I really want to love it but it's just not clicking. Does it get better once you start "Blood of Elves"? I got the impression these were just background short stories and the series is more exciting. I don't want to give up but I have so many books to read and this is taking forever....
so-soI think the anticipation may have given me unrealistic expectations, however, it's too soon to tell. I enjoy the world created so far, and Dandelion is a hoot!! I didn't realise for a few chapters that it's nonlinear short stories, so that threw me off a bit. I'm a bit indifferent on book one, but can already tell that book 2 grabs you a bit more. So, hang in there, because it's supposed to be fantastic!!
pickAnother great YA series by Victoria Aveyard! It's a fun, physiologically thrilling, magical story that stems from prejudice between the 2 types of people.
I love the main female character!!! I love so many of the characters! They're well developed, interesting, and captivating. I'd rate it as PG or possibly PG13 in terms of YA selection. Great series!! I can't wait to reread it!
One of my favorite relationships in this series is that of Manon and Abraxos, probably because it's the same I have with my pit Lilly. Their bond is unbreakable, they would give their lives for each other, and the love between them is as powerful as any of the other couples.
pickI just finished this trilogy and very much enjoyed it. It's a dystopian series and nothing like anything else she's written. I've read complaints about it having "too much battle strategy talk" but I wasn't bothered by that, and h on honestly, you have to have those strategic talks before every battle or you will lose. Great series, oddly pertinent to now and a new style for her. Be prepared to cry. This book has heartbreakers.
pickAnother top 5 stand alone Nora Roberts fave. Set in a tiny town in Alaska, the location is part of what makes it great. I loved feeling as if I were a part of this quirky town with it's unique inhabitants. It's a suspenseful romantic thriller that I enjoy more everytime I read it. If you could see it in person, you'd know how much it's loved.
pickToday was spent cleaning my Nora Roberts books, so I took a few mins to take pics of some of my favorite stand alones. The Reef is one of my top 5 stand alones NR faves. Takes place almost entirely on or in the ocean, where a father/son and father/daughter team find a ship wreck. Gorgeous setting, fun characters, good guys, bad guys, some suspence, sharks and, of course, budding romance. Fun, light read that I highly reccomend

Rereading the series for the book club I'm running. Only my 2nd time reading it, though I've watched the movies a dozen times. It will be fun to find the differences in reverse.
pickSarah has delivered again!!! #1 bestseller for a reason!!! She seamlessly transitioned into adult from YA, created a modern day fantasy world that was completely natural and gave us more characters to love. All the feels!!! Def a must read
I am over the moon excited to have gotten the arc and having the honor of reading it early!!! I love SJMs books; TOG is tied as my fave series ever.
Some authors that try to switch from YA to adult don't make the transition well. In my opinion, she has done it flawlessly. Their is a def difference in her writing style and I love it!! Can't wait to finish it!!

pickI cannot adequately express my love for this series. It is tied with Harry Potter as my favorite series, and in some way surpasses it. I love the characters and the world Sarah created so much that I want to live there. My first time through, I couldn't put the books down. I still have a hard time putting them down after 7 rereads. I laugh, cry, get angry, sad, cry some more. It is fantastic!!
pickLoved it!!! Not only was it as good as the first book, I think it was better! I never thought about non caucasian young adults not being able to relate to books because I never had to. Tomi opened my eyes to the issue and sparked some awesome conversations! The series is fantastic and highly recommended
pickI loved the setting, all the horses ❤, and the female characters. While it mostly follows your basic NT plot line, I enjoyed growing stronger with two of the women, I found the male characters fun, esp the neighbor, and the atmospheric descriptions have made me want to visit a state that I would never have considered.
