Finally finished this one that has been on my TBR for most of this year. #ReadingTheAmericas2023 #StKittsandNevis @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB
A story about discovering long lost ship wrecks, amulets, witches, curses, skulduggery and with sone romance thrown in. Like the central group of characters and as always there was a baddie in the background. A fun and engaging story, although a bit longer than it needed to be.
I‘m 1/3 into this book and I just don‘t want to read it anymore. There have been murder and mayhem, tragedy and found riches, and a villain. And yet I find the writing style very boring. I cringed every time I picked the book up knowing there was something else I‘d rather read more, which tells me it‘s time to move on. It has great reviews so I must be missing something. #StKitts #readingtheamericas
Out of town on a business trip and today was the shortest of my three days here so I went to the only bookstore in town. And sure enough I met the bookstore cat! And found the tagged book for $3.25 for #readingtheAmericas #StKittsandNevis @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB
#BookReport this week - I did finish the next Chesapeake Shores book as well as the tagged book. My copy of The Flatshare arrived so I also caught up on that and am back on track for the #LittensLoveRomance buddy read!! I'm staying on top of my chapter-a-day-ish reads for The Stand In (also #LLR), Tom Sawyer (#BookSpin) and Jane Eyre (#PemberLittens) as well, but overall have not had much reading time this week!! Peaches are done and we are in ⬇
A soft pick - not my favorite Roberts book but still quite readable. The Past section kind of stressed me out just because I knew something bad would have to happen to break them up and I don't like waiting for the bad stuff haha But I actually did like Tate and Matthew together. I appreciate how Roberts can find random jobs/settings for her stories and still make them work. I loved the descriptions of life underwater and the whole concept of ⬇️
#WeeklyForecast - I added September's books to the Windowsill of Optimism and actually it doesn't look to bad. This month's #Roll100 numbers were one book I've already read and two books that each start a new series, and I am DONE starting new series until I have finished series!! 😂 So I think I am going to just take a pass on that challenge this month and jump back in in October. I finished Moonlight Cove last night and started The Reef. Next ⬇
Today was spent cleaning my Nora Roberts books, so I took a few mins to take pics of some of my favorite stand alones. The Reef is one of my top 5 stand alones NR faves. Takes place almost entirely on or in the ocean, where a father/son and father/daughter team find a ship wreck. Gorgeous setting, fun characters, good guys, bad guys, some suspence, sharks and, of course, budding romance. Fun, light read that I highly reccomend
#tallshipcelebration @CrowCAH There‘s plenty of #treasure to be found in this book about fortune hunters.
1) Nora Roberts - The Reef is a great mystery read 😋📖
2) my favorite drink is simply three parts ice, seven up, and Jamison 😋 yum yum

Another solid oldie but goodie by Nora Roberts ♥️ Shipwrecks, treasure hunting, a super creepy bad guy and a swoon worthy romance - I'm a little bit in love with Matthew 😍 ⚓️💎
Seems like the 90s are my NR sweet spot, some really excellent storytelling! #romantsy
Started a new (and by new I mean old) NR while sitting in the laundromat and ended up getting into a long conversation with one of the ladies who works there because she saw the cover and came over to chat books! Always down for that, haha. Gave her some recommendations and told her all about Litsy - I hope she joins! 😄
