Whew… I FINALLY finished this tandem read. It was so long, but so so good. I‘m taking a little breather before I jump into finishing out the series though.
Twenty four hours later, and I‘m still processing the ending of this book. The book is an adrenaline rush from beginning to end, but I really didn‘t see the conclusion coming. Even more characters added to this installment of the series, things I thought were a given turned in their heads. This is so different from what I normally read, but I love it.
More outdoor reading with my favourite little dude. I wouldn‘t normally start something this long during the Readathon, but I‘m in a fantasy mood and I can put at least a small dent in it before I fall asleep. #deweysapril2024
1. Tagged book: constant adrenaline rush
2. I have lots of books waiting for me on my Kindle, but The Memory of Lavender and Sage is really calling to me.
3. I‘m a huge Deanna Raybourn fan, and I recommend her books frequently.

1. I‘m leading a tour at the botanical garden tomorrow. Otherwise, it‘s taking hubby to his multiple medical appointments this week.
2. Usually herbal ice tea.
3. Since I‘ve been reading on my Kindle a lot lately, this isn‘t an issue. But we have quite a collection of bookmarks for physical books.
4. Done
Although I wanted to jump into this right after finishing the previous installment, I read two other books first. I can‘t be accused of binge-reading 😄
My heart is currently shattered by this ending. I am so glad I am doing the tandem read or I would not endure reading book 6 after this. I guess these things are what make a good book too, but it HURTS!!! The book was magnificent, a lot gets unfolded here. Poor Aelin is such a warrior. I would bow to her ruling any day. Long live queen Aelin! Her court starts taking shape & a lot of unpredictable things occur. These books just get better.
This is one intense read.

I'm so close to finishing this tandem read. That's my goal for today.
Wowza. Tandem Read. Been a long time since I‘ve spoken aloud a wow while reading, or even having to pause while in the middle of a chapter. This was more all over the place as the ships moved. Hard to keep with locations, though the influx of characters was well done. Now I like Manon.
How does Maas do it?? End hundred pages was a new revelation. Tandem was intimidating, but the paper print made it easier. #sjm
Got Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn tabbed up and ready to go for my tandem read this week!🤗⚔️📚
Just finished Queen of Shadows. Three books to go in this series. I decided to do the tandem read for the next two books.
What just happened?!?! Oh man, for someone who didn‘t like the first book in this series, I‘ve becoming ridiculously attached to this bands of misfits. I love the friendships. I couldn‘t believe the sea dragon scene or the finale. So many twists, so much fascinating history in their world, I loved the stories coming together that have been building since the beginning. Beautifully plotted and I can‘t wait to see what happens next.
Is it just me or is this series just not all that exciting… the ending made me FINALLY want to actually see where the books are going but I still catch myself zoning out while listening. Also the side characters stories are way more interesting than Aelin‘s IMO. Is there something wrong with me??

Hello spicy. This book sizzles. For this series it's really a first. It also combines many of the former books (this is Throne series #6, including the prequel) characters into an awesome, action-packed fantasy. I really liked seeing the old characters brought back. Some phrases are overused; I do an occasional eyeball roll, but I just love the story. Perhaps I'll read a book from another author to cleanse my palette before the next adventure.
Starting the next book in the Throne of Glass series 🌟📚✨💜
I am loving this series. And this cliffhanger...OH MY HEART! I'm so glad this is a finished series and I can dive into the next volume! #chunkster #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks
2.9/5 ⭐️
I think I have officially lost interest in this series. I was skipping & skimming often - waiting for the exciting stuff to happen. The Rowan love scene was dangled in our faces for way too long to the point it wasn't realistic. And as you could guess, the love scene was quite pornographic for my taste. There are good moments in the story but they are too spaced out for me to enjoy them. Unfortunately I won't be returning to this series.
Okay im FINALLY getting into this series.
Yeah I still get a bit lost in the character development but now that characters are coming together were coming full circle.
Excited to see where this series goes next... 2 more books!
Time for Aelin to find an army. With the help of her new court, she unravels secret after secret and we get to finally see some of the loose ends tie themselves up!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoy Sarah J Mass‘ works, but must have read them in too rapid succession, because first it got on my wick when Rhys ‘crooned‘ so much, and now Aelin keeps ‘drawling‘!
Amazing. Slow start but the ending killed me.
1. Rather than describe, I thought I would show 📚☺️
2. I love to make zero plans for a whole weekend and just read 🤓
3. A cup of coffee or tea to sip as I read ☕️

Bk10 of February is done! The 5th in the TOG series, it sets up the final showdown in Kingdom Of Ash plus answers a lot of questions & ties up loose ends. The ending still got me, even being a reread😢 Onto Tower Of Dawn(even though it‘s not an Aelin book!) #BookspinBingo #PennyPerPage #SeriesRead2022 #ChunksterChallenge #FinishingTheSeries #Booked2022 #KickTheSlump #readathon
It felt a bit like most of the book was more getting people into places than advancing stories, but that meant spending time w/new characters that I enjoyed (like Elide & Lorcan) and revisiting returning characters like Aedion & Lysandra (side note: Aedion delivered my fave line in this book). Even Rowan was less annoying this time. The stakes didn't seem stressful, but I didn't mind, and the ending was excellent. I'm looking forward to the next.
The last two months have been absolute hell for me, my anxiety got out of control, my reading focus went to shit, and sleeping on the sofa was better for me then sleeping in bed.
But now, I'm starting to feel better, coming back into reading by #rereading another of my favourite series. I'm finally glad that I'm starting to be able to chill out and enjoy some peace. I cant wait to start #empireofthevampire once I complete my #throneofglass reread
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So much comes to a head in this one, and honestly I got half way through and couldn‘t remember another thing that happened, so it was a wild ride til the end. Ending in perhaps one of the worst cliffhangers, I‘m jumping into book 6!

And with this book, SJM loses me a lot. Aelin is conniving, and after 5 books her lack of communication is so frustrating. Especially when combined with SJM‘s habit of springing “known” info on the readers, it was a slog. Also, the repetition is a little annoying. “Rutting” isn‘t a great word, and absolutely does not replace the f-word well. Just say f*ck with your whole chest, please.

God, I love Aelin's court/assorted friends all coming together for some epic showdowns. And the ending remains RUDE. #yafantasy
Book #26: I love when distant characters‘ stories finally merge!! The big reveal felt like something we should‘ve known all along, very much Harry Potter vibes in that way. The ending is gut wrenching, but I think I‘m most mad that I have to read a book that takes place in parallel with characters I don‘t care as much about before I can get to the final book in the series. This one finally delivered on some spice as well.
Let me just say... emotional roller coaster!!! This book was soooo good. It‘s definitely my favorite so far, and I had so many tabs. The beginning was a little slow but there was so many twists and turns, BUT it leaves you with a cliffhanger 😭 For sure recommend tho!
