I did not love this one. Pretty graphic in some spots and not a lot of love. There were some pretty humorous moments which kept this as a so so. #littensloveromance @StayCurious

This was written in 2006- why had no one asked for a picture of Jesse before chapter 17?!
A soft pick for me, I didn't find this to be one of Roberts's best. The characters were rather tropey, and I was a bit surprised to find so many factual inaccuracies from an author who is usually pretty well-researched. (No one rides yearlings?! Hens don't just sit around on their eggs after they lay them and rarely go broody? Horses don't usually just stand around and let you shoot attacking bears - they run away??) Willa got on my nerves SO ⬇

I loved this book, with mystery, romance , and a little bit of gore. I know for a Nora Roberts book that was unexpected. One for #RushAthon and an added one for #SummerEndReadathon. It was the one for #LitsyLoveRomance Buddy Read . @StayCurious Thanks for hosting. @TheSpineView @GHABI4ROSES @Andrew65 @DieAReader
Thank you, @StayCurious for hosting #LittensLoveRomance 🤓
I enjoyed this book. It had some hard scenes, but overall the relationships, friendships & family were really well written.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.29-end What did everyone think of the big reveal? Most of you guessed the reason but did you have your man right? I thought the climax of the story was well done and I liked that our three romances worked out in true HEA style. Definitely a darker book at times but it had a lot of heart and sentiment as well. If you do want to make mention of the killer below, make sure to hit the spoiler button in case someone is behind. 🤠
Not my typical romance read but still very enjoyable! Kick ass females and a beautiful setting and I am in!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.27-28: the killer is closer than ever before - watching the sisters and now even communicating with them with a note and with blood on a tombstone. But the wedding goes on and Lily and Adam have even happier news👶. Willa is starting to acknowledge her own deep feelings for Ben just as he is for her. But can they truly be happy with this crazed killer on their doorstep? What will it take for him to stop?
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.25-26: First, Lily has a bit of a tantrum and the wedding is off. She‘s tired of being pampered and gently pushed aside - and she has a point. Then once she and Adam understand each other, the wedding is back on. There‘s still a threat hanging over the ranch, but nothing will spoil Adam and Lily‘s big day. At least we hope not.
#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.23-24: things escalate quickly when Jesse makes his move and steals Lily away to the high country in a blizzard. But in a crazy turn of events, our killer gets to Jesse and in a bizarre way saves Lily. So who is haunting the ranch and what are his motives?
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.21-22: It‘s springtime and love is in the air. Willa and Ben finally 🎆🎇 and Lilly is busy planning a wedding and making her home with Adam. But did she see her ex while Shopping or was that her imagination? Best to be on their guard. It‘s not over yet.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.19-20: while up in high country, Adam, Willa and Ben face an unknown shooter and Adam is shot in the arm. They realize the killer has been using Mercy Ranch‘s cabin as a hideout. Meanwhile, as spring touches the ranch, Willa decides to redecorate with the help of her sisters, and also decides it‘s high time to seduce Ben.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.17-18: The girls, Tess and Lily are getting into the swing of things on the ranch but - the killer strikes again 💔and the weight of it all is beating Will down. Her sisters drag her to a spa to take their minds off things and bonding ensues.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.15-16: Adam and Lilly get engaged 💜 and Willa starts to realize what a jerk her dad was. She also realizes that she had Ham and Bess to help raise her and she now has her sisters. She‘s starting to move on from her grief and guilt over what her dad would have thought. Meanwhile Jesse is still lurking around - is he the one behind the killings?
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-14: the sisters are bonding and romances are budding. They have a New Year‘s Eve party - definitely not something that would have been done had Jack Mercy still been alive. Unfortunately it comes to a crashing halt when another body is found. They really can‘t get a break. Willa blames herself and is wearing herself thin. The men feel it might be Lilly‘s ex and Adam and she finally talk about her past.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.11-12: After the latest poor animal is discovered they are hit with a blizzard and the trail goes cold. As Christmas approaches the sisters grow closer and vow to stick together. Tess decides to make her move with Nate - and he‘s okay with it 😜
#LittensLoveRomance Ch:9-10: things are heating up between Ben and Willa even though she‘s still unsure of him. Nate and Tess are dancing around each other too. It‘s been weeks since Pickles‘ murder and all‘s quiet - but snow comes and with it another animal killing - which puts everyone back on edge.
#LittensLoveRomance Hey all, I should have led with this at the beginning of the month but honestly it‘s been 15 years since I‘ve read this book and I didn‘t think. For that I apologize. From now on I will do better research on our chosen book to make sure we are all prepared. I do think that despite the graphic nature of some scenes, this is a good romantic suspense story and the characters are fascinating to get to know.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.7-8: Pickles stumbles across our killer and is killed himself and poor Willa finds him. Ben is supportive and helps her through it and we can see the two of them getting closer. Lily and Tess decide to stay on the ranch despite the danger. Also, I‘m sorry for the graphic nature of the killings: I read a lot of romantic suspense and so maybe I‘m a bit desensitized. I didn‘t ⬇️
Nope. After chapter 8, I‘m done.
#LittensLoveRomance
#LittensLoveRomance Ch:5-6: The ranch, and Willa, have a problem on their hands. Someone‘s killing animals. How soon before that escalates? Meanwhile, Ben is thinking of getting closer to Willa, and not only for ranch business. Lilly and Adam are growing closer, and Tess hates chickens. How will she last a year? Maybe a certain lawyer will prove to be a distraction.
#LittensLoveRomance Ch. 3-4: Willa needs to adjust to the fact that she now has her annoying neighbour Ben watching over her back - and they have history and chemistry that they don‘t like to acknowledge. Tess and Lilly set about getting ready for a year on the ranch, but a threat from Lily‘s past has followed her to Montana and puts her and the ranch at risk.
#LittensLoveRomance September read Ch.1-2: I like the beginning of this book. We meet a complex group of people, several of whom are related to each other in some way or another. Nothing brings family back together like a funeral. And nothing keeps family together like an ironclad will that says you can‘t leave the property for a year if you want your inheritance. Was Jack being mean spirited or was this his last attempt at a reunion?

Starting my first Nora Roberts! Anyone have any favorites by Nora Roberts?
I loved the setting, all the horses ❤, and the female characters. While it mostly follows your basic NT plot line, I enjoyed growing stronger with two of the women, I found the male characters fun, esp the neighbor, and the atmospheric descriptions have made me want to visit a state that I would never have considered.
Read this and some of her books years ago, when I was on a Nora Roberts binge phase. Some of the tv adaptations of her titles are enjoyable too.
