I‘ve read/ listened to Neil Gaiman books before but this book clinched it for me - I‘m officially a Fan. ❤️ And I‘ll never look at Lucille Ball the same way again. 😂 The narration was fabulous on this one. I loved every moment.
Otis thinks this book looks interesting and he‘s not wrong! What a light, fun read for the long weekend.
I‘m in a bit of a reading slump where nothing seems all that interesting or wants to hold my attention. I‘ve picked up this middle grade book of short stories hoping that the lighthearted subject matter will jump start my reading again.
This was in my mailbox today! I love getting bookish mail. 😊 I don‘t mind waiting in the waiting room now. Lol
Started this the other day. It‘s hilarious and clever so far. I‘m really enjoying it!
Reading this as part of the #biglibraryread. I like it so far but am only a few pages in. The reviews don‘t seem very good though so we‘ll see. I‘m hopeful it‘ll be fun and interesting.
Next in my 2018 Audible Romance challenge... based on the cover I don‘t think this will have any problems holding my attention. 😂
I‘ve been reading Truman Capote‘s In Cold Blood this weekend and I‘m nearly finished but I have a headache tonight and wanted lighter fare before bed. This Newberry Award winner fits the bill and fulfills one of my 2018 challenge prompts. Win-win!
I haven‘t read any true crime in the past, but this year I‘m trying to branch out and try new genres. I‘ve been pleasantly surprised by all of my new forays so I have high hopes for this too.
Started this a little while ago while doing data entry at work. Hooked from the beginning. Kinda creepy and I‘m glad I‘m around other people in a well-lit place 🙂
Just about done with this. I have so many thoughts about this book that it‘s all a jumble in my brain. It‘s so heartbreaking and parts of it make me so mad I can barely see straight. And mostly I just want to hug her and tell her I love her.
Next up in the lineup... essays! I haven‘t read many essay collections until recently and I have to say that I‘m loving the genre. Bite size stories that keep me coming back for more. 👍🏻😊
I‘ve been listening to this at work as part of my 2018 Audible Romance challenge. (One of the two challenges I‘m doing this year) At one time, I read a lot of romance, but lately have included a lot more variety in my reading. This book is ok and I‘ll finish it but the overall storyline has been a little predictable. However, I was blindsided by the fairly graphic (unwelcome) description of the sexual abuse of a child included in the book.
Got caught in a waiting room without a book! Can‘t remember the last time that happened, BUT thank goodness for Libby! I just started reading this but I can tell it‘s going to be good! 😊👍🏻
Starting this tonight. Never read this author but I‘ve heard good things about his work so I have high hopes. 🤞🏻🙂
If only his head were see-through... Roo doesn‘t understand how interesting this book is right from the beginning.
I imagine this had a jacket at one time, but it‘s old and from the library so I‘m not surprised it‘s missing. I read this book when I was a kid I guess. I don‘t remember having read it, but then, I‘ve read A LOT of books in my time. 😆 That said, my sister (not a reader 😕) remembered that it was the one book I ever got her to read as a kid. Obviously I was intrigued and had to read it again. I actually liked it a lot. Very quick read. Thumbs up!
A classic I hadn‘t read yet. For some reason I had a hard time getting into this at first. It seemed a little slow in the beginning? But Dan Stevens‘ voice is a dream to listen to and I‘m hooked on the story now too.
