You‘ll (of course) recognize a lot of these (fictional) characters. And you‘ll want to look up and see what exactly an adjudicator does and how you can become one that has a heart. Excellent debut novel.👩🏻⚖️

Gah tore through this one in an all-night binge. Delicious. 🔮
I couldn‘t remember if I read this one in my late teens tear through as many of Marquez‘s books as I could get my hands on. It doesn‘t matter, it‘s all beautiful. Someday I‘ll read one of his in its original, untranslated 🤞🏽
Just gutted. So many times while reading this I had to set the book down I was laughing so hard. Happy that this was the first of his I've read. Highly recommend. Will probably be my go-to rec for everyone in 2017. ✨🖤
The correct response to every man's sentence beginning with, "Actually..." ?
Halfway thru this on audio and it is SO GOOD. 👍🏽
Keep forgetting I have Audible credits! Getting to this one finally ✌🏽
Heart-wrenching, haunting, lovely. This story is mesmerizing, and made me want to listen to all of the piano and violin in the world. And appreciate that I have the freedom to do that. At a loss for other words because the calendar years in this book are so recent they can't be considered history.
A day late but who cares. Just started this last night with only the review from my FIL of, "it starts out really slow." Couldn't disagree more and definitely didn't think a book about Jewish resistance in 1950s Russia would make me laugh out loud. Can't wait to see where this one goes but I'm rooting for the characters fiercely. #recommendsday
Favorite sci-fi? Impossible task! But this is one of my absolute favorites that has stayed with me. I truly love the evolution woven through the story and the characters are so well-written. Plus written by a lady❤️. #READATHONBLOB #heartsforever
Listening to this one on audio. Highly recommend doing it this way as Noah's narration is superb. 👌🏾
Flew through this one in a fever-dream and can't get this sentence out of my head. 👌🏽
This book! I don't want to give anything away but you should read it. I don't think I've been as captivated by a set of characters since A Little Life (and yes, a similar level of darkness pervades this story and their lives).
It started out so differently than how I saw it continuing. The writing is haunting and Wang has done a brilliant job showing the inner thoughts of those with mental illness and their accompanying heartache.
This book was so deliciously creepy. Eerily beautiful and one story in particular I don't recommend reading at night 🤐
Haven't spent anywhere near enough time this summer reading peacefully at the beach. This book flew by. Similar to Sleeping Giants it read a teensy bit too much *movie* for me (picturing Matt Damon and Penelope Cruz basically) but still enjoyable all around.
This is being added to my handful of recommendations for friends. Loved the beginning of crime-solving psychology brought to life in such a creepy, fun way.
Okay, starting out strong with the dedication, N.K. 🙌🏽
I wanted to like this book, I really did. But the narrator came off as icky and sad. I couldn't help thinking through the entire story, "If a guy stalks you this hard, please call the police, that is not a healthy love."
Engrossing, dream-like, dark, and fascinating from cover to cover 😍
This made me 😬 Also Sleeping Giants is *so good* #latetothebandwagonbutstilltrue
Could not love this book more. Science, philosophy, imagination. One of my go-to book recs for people.
