Pickpick

I enjoyed reading the story from Willa‘s viewpoint. She is a well-drawn character and a keen observer. The plot progresses nicely to a satisfying conclusion. And then, of course, there is all that cheese. Yum! Thank you, St. Martin‘s Press and NetGalley, for giving me the opportunity to read and review the e-arc of CURDS OF PREY.

The Cuckoo's Calling and this book, Lethal White, are my favorite Cormoran Strike novels. I hope J K Rowling continues to enjoy writing as Robert Galbraith for many more years.

I read a library e-book version of this book. I'm glad I didn't spend money on a hardcover.

Marie Benedict wrote an interesting story based on the life of Albert Einstein's first wife, Mileva Maric. Albert Einstein may have been a genius, but he appears to have been a terrible husband to Mileva.

With the title, Twelve Drummers Drumming, and a sleuth named Father Christmas, I thought I'd be reading a Christmas-themed cozy. I was mistaken but enjoyed reading the book, nonetheless.

The Last Painting of Sara de Vos is good but not as enjoyable as B.A. Shapiro's book, The Art Forger. Both stories are about an art forger. This book, however, alternated three time periods. Too many time changes.

I enjoyed listening to Simon Vance's audio rendition of The Girl in the Spider's Web. Stieg Larsson created a great character, Lisbeth Salander, and I'm happy that David Lagercrantz has continued writing the Millennium Series.

I never thought I would like science fiction. What is The Sparrow about? Jesuits in space and so much more. Thank you, Ann Kingman, for raving about this book. I'm so glad I finally read it.

HardcoverHearts I also picked it up based on her full throated endorsement! Fantastic read. 8y
