Ok I said I would return with a report on my incontinent book. It really wasn't bad for a book about a woman with a genetic disorder, the author has an amazing knack for character descriptions. I just have to giggle at the thought of his proposal to the publisher yeah the book is about a woman who lives with incontinence her whole life. Good writing but I finished and went MEH.

Two Kinds of Truth | Michael Connelly
Pickpick

I have followed Michael Connelly since Concrete Blonde, I love everything he writes. I never have to read the flap I know I will love it whether it is HarryBosch, or Lincoln Lawyer I even loved his new one in Late Show. Wow I am feeling my age I just can't remember character names as well as I used to. Anyway if Michael wrote it or blurbs it I read it.

This book had a Michael Connelly blurb so I had to check it out. I listened to it and I have to admit it had a few to many similar characters for me to keep them all straight, I do better reading when there are a lot of characters so I think I missed a bit of the story. But it was done well and the story was pretty different from what I usually like. It is not at all similar to Michael Connelly's type of writing.

Not all male authors can write a female lead. This was pretty good, she was somewhat asexual but she was a believable character. Surprise ending too. I never guessed. If you have never read a Connelly you are in for a treat. Well written good stories!

I liked it. I was surprised to see nobody has reviewed it yet. I listened on audio it was a great narration. It was not a legal thriller.

If you are into castle life, this book will do it for you. I always feel like I am living in a castle when I read Weir. This was perfect book for sitting outside reading this summer.

If you love Sandford's prey series and books about serial killers, this is a great read alike. The tension is taut and I found myself skipping paragraphs to get to the parts I wanted. I rarely skip a word when I read, but I had to find out what was going to happen. Tense and very good. I like his writing style too.

The Witching Hour | Anne Rice

I would love to meet Anne Rice, I have followed her on Facebook and she has grown large in my estimation. She is a true lady who has grace and love. She truly cares about her readers. I am really sorry her health has been bad. If you have never read a book by Anne Rice give her a shot I love her witch series, vampires not so much.

Very good read. This will make you question your own racism. I was really snobby about reading a Picoult because I thought she was just formulaic but this book really changed my mind! This book was a page turner.

I love Mark Gimenez, he is as good as Grisham when it comes to legal thrillers. This one is very much of interest for our times.. a great description of executive order. Read his earlier work but you can read this as a stand alone even though it is #3.

I just finished listening to this. I use books to read me to sleep and I usually fall asleep before the first 8 minutes. This one was so good I just kept listening. If you like legal thrillers with twisty plots this was a good one. I could have managed it if it was twice as long! Hated to finish.

I read this for book club, I was thinking ick how much more boring than a book about bridge! I actually loved it. It was a good memoir of growing up in the 50's and 60'. It provided a lot of questions I want to ask my mother.

If you follow the Pendergast series this will be a must read. You may be a bit disappointed since it is mostly about Constance, but I don't want to give away any surprises. So I will just say maybe not as satisfying as others but it was a must read.

Hey I love a trashy read! This is so trashy and every label on earth is mentioned at least expensive labels but he does it so well. It is a cool birds eye view into the ultra rich of Asia. It is an Asian Jackie Collins. One of my guilty pleasures.

I enjoyed the twists and turns. It was a nice little find in Book Riots $1.99 specials. I usually don't read missing kids books too much parental angst but this was much different. The writing style was a little tough to get used to but once the story got going and I got used to the different points of view it was smooth sailing. Great twists!

I started this in serial a great app that delivers 10 minutes of a classic a day. Even reading aheadit still took a loooong time to read. This book is so much more than a love story about Anna and Vronsky, really, in my mind Levin is the main character. So much more than a love story.

I honestly am not sure why I liked this book! I listened to it off Scribd (I love Scribd) it was very well narrated and the short chapters helped when I used it to help me get to sleep. She definitely was a nasty little mother. I think this author could get very popular.

Now you know my dirty secret. Yes every once in awhile a simple 3rd grade level book is just the ticket. I do love Marshall Karp, his bungling characters in Rabbit Factory made me laugh. This one had some very stupid criminals, I seem to like that. A good no brainer.
