My S for #LitsyAtoZ was Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Gene Roddenberry. This was a quick read and a fun return to the original characters of Star Trek. While this wasn‘t the best writing in the world, it has its moments and your imagination does the rest. Life is so much better with Kirk and Spock.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch was my D for #LitsyAtoZ. This was a really interesting read. There was a lot of compelling science and theories about the multiverse that I had never really thought about before. The author really gave a great sense of paranoia and fear surrounding the character and what he goes through which made this a book I could not put down. Definitely recommend.

My I for #LitsyAtoZ was Jeff Ashton‘s Imperfect Justice. This was an amazing account of the prosecutor‘s case against Casey Anthony. If you followed that in the media like I did, this is a great read to know what was fact and what was fiction. Of course, there is bias against Casey, but you still decide in the end if she is guilty. Fantastic read.

Andrew Stanek‘s Humancorp Incorporated was my H for #LitsyAtoZ and this book was a challenge for me. I usually enjoy satires, this one being about big businesses, but this one did not sit well. The main character was not well written and it was really difficult to become involved in what was happening to him. I honestly did not care after a while and just finished it for the sake of finishing. Do not recommend.

Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker was my E for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge. This book had a good story but was not well written. I don‘t know what bothered me more, the POV problems or the shifting timeline. Either way, it messed up a decent thriller. Would not recommend.

My L for the #LitsyAtoZ was The Lufthansa Heist. I was extremely interested in this story for a while and the details of this account kept me reading until the wee hours of the night. I still can‘t believe they got away with it.

My Y book for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge was Nora Roberts‘ Year One. I‘ve never read this author before but I have to say this book was amazing. I am devastated that it is book one of a series that has no published sequels because I MUST know what happens next. I love post-apocalyptic literature and the premise here is that while a plague is wiping out mankind, some of the immune are developing supernatural powers. Fantastic. I highly recommend.

My B for #LitsyAtoZ was M.R. Carey‘s The Boy on the Bridge. This was an amazing sequel to The Girl With All the Gifts. I enjoyed all the different character viewpoints and the ending was so tragically beautiful. I highly recommend this read.

Now for my letter A for #LitsyAtoZ! I chose Andy Weir‘s Artemis. I absolutely loved The Martian and I was in love with this book from the first chapter. Weir is such a compelling writer and I can‘t believe I finished this book in a day! I highly recommend this book, especially if you‘re into space adventures.

Finished my Z for #LitsyAtoZ. Zodiac by Robert Graysmith. It was incredibly interesting to read about the zodiac killer and those involved in the case. It‘s crazy that the case was never solved and I can‘t help but wonder if the killer would have been caught if this happened today.

I just finished my V for #LitsyAtoZ and I decided to read The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides. This was a tough book to get through. It‘s one I can finally cross off my list but it‘s incredibly sad.

My letter C for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge is Brandon Sanderson‘s Calamity, the third and final book in his Reckoner‘s series. The series, as a whole, is a fantastic bit of science fiction, which is a bit different for Sanderson, who usually writes fantasy. However, his world creation is absolutely amazing and grips you from the start. Here he writes about people with super powers and good versus evil.

Just finished my second book of the year. It‘s my ‘O‘ for the #LitsyAtoZ, Glenn Beck‘s The Overton Window. Political novels aren‘t really my cup of tea, but this was actually a very interesting book. Everything is explained so very well and the climax is very gripping. Overall, I would read more by this author.

So I started out my #LitsyAtoZ challenge with a book I was really excited for. Scott Meyer‘s Magic 2.0 series is terribly hilarious and entertaining while also surprising and full of lovable characters. Fight and Flight is the 4th book in the series, and my F for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge. I highly recommend this series for any computer nerd and fantasy lover.

Finished this one last night. It was one of those Kindle deals that sounded like it would be okay. I couldn‘t put this down. I was so interested in this poor family and the scenario they were in. As for guessing who did it, I was back and forth for most of the book.

I‘m excited for 2018 and all the many books to read. I‘m joining in the #LitsyAtoZ challenge!! Here‘s my list, as of right now. It may change. I‘m still missing some, so I‘d love some suggestions!

Finished this tonight. It was very slow but also very intriguing. The concept of the ‘other place‘ that is explored in this novel is rather reminiscent of Netflix‘s Stranger Things. I would definitely read more about the setting Carey created here.

So I‘m just about halfway into this and I‘m not as excited as I thought I would be. The book has a slow burn for me but I want it to pick up a bit. I‘ve heard so many great reviews and I‘m just not seeing it. Have no fear, I never stop halfway.

I felt the stereotypical back and forth from the 80‘s to 2016 with the same stereotypical group of children (now adults) experiencing ‘bad things‘ was not intriguing enough for me to follow the actual murder story, which was interesting enough. It is a quick read but it felt too cliche.
