This MF book takes you to another world & on another adventure with Jack & Annie. The magician has disappeared and with help from their friends to a kingdom of ice and snow they come across obstacles and if they don‘t solve the riddles, Merlin & Morgan the magicians will disappear forever. This book, like all of their books in my opinion, are so engaging! Which would make it great for LC.

Summerm By using this book, you can meet the UDL principle 3.2 (highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships) this would be helpful to the students by making sure they understand and are engaged. Also, the EL strategy 2 (promote cooperate in small groups). This helps by having them work well with each other. https://www.rif.org/literacy-central/book/magic-tree-house-32-winter-ice-wizard #ucflae3414su19 5y

This MF novel from the award winning author Katherine Applegate, wrote an amazing story of a “Wishtree“ in a neighborhood where they would write their wishes on a piece of paper and tie it to the branches. When new neighbors move in, there becomes a slight problem with “Red“ (the wishtree) and his occupants. (raccoons, birds, skunks, & more). This is a sweet story of friendship and loyalty.

This HF book is told by a cat named “Mouschi” who lived with Ann Frank during the time of the Holocaust. The cat in this book describes her as being kind and loving.
