Reading a book on the beach in Hawaii seems like the answer to a lot of problems.
I just plowed through this story & now I need someone to talk to about LifeGen, lab rats, and lonely girls who have gifts they don‘t understand.
Really enjoying this “forced lovers to unlikely allies (are they though?) trope”
This has me trying to click “see more” at the end of every chapter.
The Walking Death that only lower classes can get...🤔 Sounds relevant.
Reading on the road. So what makes Tea Cake a “a bee to a blossom”?
Purity scar? 😯 Most effective oxymoron ever. Wow, that hit hard.
Just finished! I liked it a lot...still working out the rest of my feelings. There was a lot to process here.
I‘m fighting the temptation to peak ahead and see what I‘m getting myself into because I‘m already too invested in Hi and Sophia and I don‘t want anything bad to happen but...slavery.
I really liked it in the beginning. By the end, I just liked it more than not. I didn‘t care for Emira, but I did relate to her in some ways. Definitely felt more like Alix and Kelley‘s story. I think Reid did well with setting up relationships and creating tension, and I have more thoughts that I‘ll blog later, but overall, I just wanted Emira to be more proactive. Zara was my favorite until her final performance. Alix was a close 2nd until hers.
Change of scenery while getting outside is still possible. Halfway through chapter 3.
I really liked chapter one. I feel like I can understand the odd dynamic between babysitter Emira and Alix & Husband before either parent even steps on stage. Reid‘s a master at characterization & creating tension in relationships. Chapter two‘s great too! Will definitely continue reading.
Just started it. Anyone else reading this?
My first read of 2020.
