I‘m gonna rate this a pick even though it wasn‘t that ravingly fantastic. It might just be that it‘s not the genre I usually go for, but I did enjoy it. The only reason I say it wasn‘t perfect is just because I found a few missing links in the story; a few unanswered questions. I will leave it at that and to say it was pretty spooky. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I wonder how many times in my life I'll read this series. On my second run through right now, absolutely ecstatic for number 4, and the kind of books that get better each time.

Ms.Story Do we know when to expect book four?! 7y

Once again, enjoyed the story along with the pictures of this hang of peculiars. I've heard so much criticism about it being so childish because of the pictures, but, and I don't know about everyone else, but why wouldn't I want to be reminded of being a kid again?

I've seen many typos and errors in books, but this has to be one of the strangest. The word "I'll" but with 1s instead of Ls. As you can see, I've underlines other Ls in blue, and those ones are clearly 1s.

Well! This book! I did not know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the components of mystery and suspense, the fantastical character and the realistic characters as well. I know it's been criticized for being a lot like x-men, but I don't care; I enjoyed the heck out of it, LOVED the old pictures and I am looking forward to reading the next one.

Well, I always enjoy Ann Rule's retelling of crimes and murders. Makes the world seem like a place of mystery. And it is. When the stories end and there is no real ending, it makes me feel even more that they are real stories, and that life as we know it can change in an instant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a true no-holds-barred account of life as a drug addict. It's difficult to read at times, because what Sheff is retelling is something that no one would choose, yet, millions do.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Follett did it again for me. His historical fictions always grip me. Moving along at an exhilarating pace, the story of a group of anti-nazi resistance fighters during WWII is both satisfying and frustrating. I love the juxtaposition between the good and evil within a certain villain, and I like how the good guys don't always win. Same type of romances as his other novels, I might have that bit of criticism, but overall, I loved it.

2 chapters in and already immensely enjoying #KenFollett's novel, Hornet Flight. I got hooked on him with the #CenturyTrilogy; he has such an engrossing way if writing, especially his characters.

I give this a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️.7. The first 100 pages weren't as riveting as the rest, and Sheff's writing style was a bit boring at times, but it got better and easier to pick up on the last 60%. I liked the information about addiction and recovery he gave amidst his memoir, and also the way he spoke about his experience as a lesson for others. I'm looking forward to reading "Tweak", which is the memoir from the addict himself. (Ordered today!)

I finished this one very quickly. It is an easy and quick read, full of action, suspense and surprises. Let me get one thing straight this "eighth installment" doesn't hold a candle to the Harry Potter series, but I don't think anyone expected it to; and those who did will most likely be disappointed. But, I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I'm sure the play is amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

HotMessJess My husband and I are going to see it next April in London- he bought me tickets as a christmas surprise- told me in October (when he bought the tickets) because he can't keep a secret. Cried like a baby for AT LEAST 45 minutes. 8y
UltraVioletRosie @HotMessJess holy!!! He's a keeper!!!! I would have (figuratively) died! So many bad reviews of the book. I loved it and I'm sure the play will kick ass! 8y
HotMessJess It's not supposed to be read like a book (in my opinion) it's a play for a reason! I feel like a lot of people didn't get that, but I was also in drama in HS. I'm sure it will be an entirely different experience than if I read it! 8y
