The Atlas Paradox is the long-awaited sequel to Olivie Blake's New York Times bestselling dark academic sensation The Atlas Sixguaranteed to have even more yearning, backstabbing, betrayal, and chaos. Six magicians were presented with the opportunity of a lifetime. Five are now members of the Society. Two paths lay before them. All must pick a side. Alliances will be tested, hearts will be broken, and The Society of Alexandrians will be revealed for what it is: a secret society with raw, world-changing power, headed by a man whose plans to change life as we know it are already under way. "The Atlas Six introduced six of the most devious, talented, and flawed characters to ever find themselves in a magical library, and then sets them against one another in a series of stunning betrayals and reversals. As much a delicious contest of wit, will, and passion as it is of magic...half mystery, half puzzle, and wholly a delight."New York Times bestselling author Holly Black At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

Enjoyable. Ends on a cliffhanger, obviously.

This one was similar to the first book, not a huge plot, but a lot of drama with the characters.
I feel like this is setting up a lot for the third book.
Everything that was at a standstill in this one started to unravel at the end. I am hoping the third one wraps it all up nicely!

#serieslove2024 Book 2 in this series was pretty good- the focus is on getting Libby back and what life might be like after their year of research. There are still alliances and betrayals and the ending is definitely gearing us up for what I hope is an epic third book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2

This is nearly as entertaining as the 1st book in the series. I did not listen to the bonus short story. I think I was ready to move on but wasn't in the mood for that exactly.

Meh. I will read the next one out of curiosity about Gideon and Libby. I have nearly no curiosity about anyone else.

Like the first book, not too much plot, but tons of character drama. I loved it tho. Some bits left me frustrated bc I wanted MORE. Some bits made me hate the entire world and be flooded with hopelessness. The story/timeline/concept was confusing but not enough to put me off (kinda like the prequel, it‘s just a lot going on). It gives off Umbrella Academy vibes, and like in that show, I just love all the characters. Def worth a re-read.

Oooo it‘s hard to do a second book well but this is great. I was INTO this and that ending just leaves me amped for the next one, rather than wanting to murder the author 😂 I do like the narration except callum‘s a mumbler and that is annoying 😂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Surprising 5-star read for me because I liked, but did not love, TAS.

The magic of the first book was character development. The story in this one could therefore credibly go into some pretty fantastic directions. And I fully intend to follow these characters anywhere. I'm torn between Parisa/Callum/Nicolibby for a favorite. Oh and the ending rules. 🤘

I liked the Atlas Six, going for Paradox. Haven't heard much about it.

TLuvs 3.5 Stars, I honestly liked Atlas Six better. However, props to OB for creativity and intrigue. All the layers of plots and character development kept me interested. 2y

Excellent follow up to The Atlas Six! I did get distracted about 25% in, but once I started listening again I blew through the rest of it. I love all these complicated characters, and I really appreciated that this book delved more deeply into the lesser explored characters from TA6. Full cast recording on point.

Highly recommend this series for Slytherins, fans of Netflix show Dark and/or dark academia genre.

I don‘t even know what to say. I often joke about the anguish of finishing a great book but it genuinely hurts to have finished this book. Despite my mixed feelings towards these characters in the first book, them and their shenanigans have grown on me. This book made me gasp, laugh and led to many a rant to my friends (sorry not sorry) but, my god, was it good.

Tristan's heart thudded in his chest, no longer the beat of rage. Well, not rage alone. Not the anger of someone whose father wanted him dead for a price. Nor the fury of a man who'd just fled from Scotland, where he had seen the woman he loved for the first time in a year, and realised he would do anything for her. No, instead it was the agony, the inevitability of a boy who'd been burned, and who had now become a man impervious to flame.

149/150 I'm not sure if I liked this one as much as the first book, but I'd still give it a pick. The six main characters are still rather unlikable, but the do grow and begin to show other aspects of their personalities, which aren't always nice either. I thought the ending was a bit flat, and a cliffhanger of course, but it was entertaining enough to make me want to read the next book in the trilogy (or is it series?) 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
