I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more.
This series is truly something special. This is my least favorite of the series, but I still really really loved it.

Sweet, tender, and soul-stirring. It moved me to read about characters who could truly see and understand each other in a deeper level. Made me root for both characters. Lots of quotes that will warm your heart and fill you with positivity. Emotionally rewarding to read.

“If you‘re with someone who doesn‘t speak your language, you‘ll spend a lifetime having to translate your soul”
This book was a soft pick. It felt like it dragged on. I appreciate the outside perspective so readers can see how easy it is for couples to miscommunicate. Hopefully people can take that as a lesson from this book. I‘ll read another Jimenez but won‘t have high expectations. 3 🌟
This one was such a fun read! I love a book that can make me laugh out loud, and cry multiple times.

I loved this one. Abby Jimenez is an author I just recently read & I now have several of her books on my TBR and on hold at the library.
Not the first impression either wanted to make. Add fake dating & a love for note/letter writing & you have the beginning of a great book & lovely romance.

1. Podcast so I can be in comfy clothes!
2. Tagged and a few others before I see the authors at the National Book festival!

What we have here is a romance that starts over letter writing & turns into fake dating, so let me tell you there was no way I wasn‘t going to love this.
Add to that laugh out loud moments, literal clutch-my-heart romance, and excellent audiobook narrators, and this is coming close to topping the list of summer reads for me.
Highly recommend.
Halfway through the year and (almost) halfway done with the yearly #botm reading challenge!
My little Primrose in the background all curled up for a night of reading ☺️ I just finished The Canterbury Tales for my #bookspinbingo so I‘m ready to take on a fun romance now 💕
This was a fantastic book! 📚 Highly recommended for romance readers. 5 ⭐️s
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another solid one from Jimenez! A horrific first impression leads to an unlikely, intense friendship among two doctors, ignited by notes. Anxiety is a big topic; very relatable for many. Over all, this is a very sweet and selfless take on fake dating with a bit of workplace forced proximity. I‘m always impressed when overplayed tropes are done well. Perhaps a bit unrealistic at times, but I‘ll allow it. Very enjoyable!
Sabrina liked this one as much as I did. ❤️ Jimenez is definitely a new favorite author.

Why did it take me so long to read a book by Abby Jimenez?! Sometimes romances leave me feeling lukewarm, but this truly warmed my cold, cold heart. It‘s so tender and heartfelt, but also funny. It had that special sauce. Now I have to read the rest of her books! #BOTM
This is an adorable romcom novel.
I loved both characters and the fact that they help each other with their issues. The letters back and forth we very cute and entertaining.
It has a fake-dating trope and a "one bed" trope.
My first Abby Jimenez book & I‘m a fan. I listened to this one over audio & kept laughing out loud especially over the parrot. I was influenced over an IG post about how the book discusses about anxiety. I really like the way Jimenez portrayed a main character with anxiety & what the experience can be like (representation matters). Some of it dragged towards the end but overall I liked it & have already put all her other books on hold. #bookspin
I loved the start of this book. The set up was excellent and cute and sweet and all the things you could want. But then it fell off for me. It dragged on a bit too long, and got too trope-y for me with some of the miscommunication and problems created that really didn't have to be problems.
Altogether, I felt it was alright but will likely fade from memory quickly.
This is the first book I‘ve read by this author and it‘s good. It drags on a tad too much with the I-Can‘t-Trust-a-Man-Again nonsense, but eventually resolves well. I‘d read another one by Jimenez.
What a great night!
Finished this fantastic book AND the LA Kings win in overtime!!
This is my first Abby Jimenez, and I'm officially a member of her fan club now.
Smart, funny, sexy - everything you want in a romance ❤️
I loved this book!! It‘s my first book by Abby Jimenez and it was such an emotional, funny and touching read. Briana and Jacob are 2 ER doctors who do NOT have a meet cute moment. Briana is reeling from a bad divorce and dealing with a sick brother. Jacob suffers from anxiety. The way they find love is too adorable. 5 STARS. #YoursTruly. #BOTM

Book of the Year 2023 for BOTM! It is calling to me from the small bookcase in master bedroom…

Boy, did I love this book! I am a sucker for handwriting in books anyway (probably stems from The Babysitter Club days of my youth). I have a habit where at some point I read the last sentence of a story, (a morbid habit) and this one was a bit of a spoiler but the journey getting there was so fun that I didn‘t care. The tension between our two main characters was lovely and ended up being a great payoff. #bookspin for April
WHEN will I meet a man irl that compares to an Abby Jimenez hero?? I was down so bad for Briana and Jacob and how tender they were with one another. Their families were so lovely, too! There's a trope at the end I know some people don't like, but I was all in, baby. #contemporaryromance #romcom

Oh I liked this so much! Set in the same world as “Part of Your World “, but it stands completely on its own. I really appreciate the mental health aspects of this story and how love shows up, and all the ways it can.
I read this book because I absolutely had to read the Book of the Month 2023 book of the year. I enjoyed it, even though romance isn‘t one way favorite genres. I can‘t say it‘s one of the best books I read in 2023, but it was entertaining. It was pretty typical for a romance novel. It dealt with many issues, focusing on trust. The author made it personal by also focusing on organ donation. I‘m glad I read this book.
This was really good! Not my usual genre, but I‘m thinking I need to add more like this into my reading rotation. The writing was on point, and Jacob is my new book boyfriend. My only gripe is the non-communication trope. 🗣️”Just ask the questions that you need to ask when you need ask them and so many problems will be avoided!!!” Regardless, a definitive pick ❤️
