The Bay of Fundy tide was out this afternoon.
I spent the evening at a local theatre‘s production of Twelfth Night. They do Shakespeare in the park every summer. The director cast men in women‘s roles and vice versa. My friend‘s daughter played Sebastian. She is the pirate on the left in the red bandana.
My chunky July reads. I finished American Gods and The Punishment She Deserves. Just getting into my reread of Lonesome Dove. I had forgotten how beautiful the prose is.
This is the outside view of L.M Montgomery‘s birthplace. It is a very small house and a very popular stop, it was quite crowded in there. It houses some of her scrap books and hand written letters.
To all the Littens who are L.M. Montgomery fans, this is the bedroom where she was born. The sign is a bit blurry but it gives her birth date of November 30, 1874. The home is now a museum in New London PEI. I was there this morning, I am home now but I love going to Prince Edward Island.
This was the best audio book I have listened to. As you listen to the narrator there are birds chirping in the background. You can here the water in the stream. The narrator did an amazing job. I had never read this book as a child, I just know the Disney version. This is so much better. I will be getting the book.
Finished today for #litsyclassics. I am glad I had the audio as I am not sure I could have finished the book.
I did not want this to end. It was a great continuation of the story. I really enjoyed the perspectives from different characters. Now I am I impatiently waiting for the next instalment. There better be a next instalment.
I was returning books at the library and as always I took a look at the exhibits on display in the lobby. The artwork was completed during art therapy session with some of the Syrian Refugee women that settled here. It was a very moving exhibit.
This was my book for X in the #litsyclassics challenge. I am a third of the through and I can‘t continue. I should really relate to this as I came of age in the mid-eighties, but I just annoyed and confused. It is very disjointed and it is not speaking to me and what I experienced in my early twenties.
So this appeared at my office yesterday. I added some to it today. That tagged book is my current audio and isn't on the shelf. I did add some Sarah J Maas to spread the TofG love
This is a very moving book. I am also enjoying my yummy Chocolates made by Peace by Chocolate. I thought they matched as the chocolates are made by a family who came to Canada as refugees from Syria. They are rebuilding their chocolate factory.
My new Christmas book and pillow to curl up with. Just waiting for family to arrive to open the rest of the presents. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄💩💩🎁🎁
Today was a good day. My library hold for Glass Houses is finally ready for pick up and I won $130.00 at work today. I get to spend the weekend in Three Pines Quebec.😀
One of my favourite film versions of the book. It is my current audio book. I am really enjoying this in audio.
I am bailing on the audio book version as it is not holding my interest. I will try the print version to see if I can finish it.
One of my picks for #litsyclassics. It is my very first reading challenge so we shall see how it goes. I signed up today.
Happy Thanksgiving from Canada, I took this on my walk this morning. Year of The Flood is my second audio book.
A friend preordered this for my birthday and it came today. Sadly it came to work so I was only able to read a bit of it. For some reason they don't pay me to read.
I just got this bookmark as a gift. My friend was being funny, I hate bananas. But it is the thought that counts.
