Simply put, this book made me feel happy. The writing was lovely, and the world Towles created drew me in from page one. One of those stories you are sad to see end.

Good audiobook, but I agree with others who were unsure of the intended audience. Pretty dark stuff for Newbery honor.
I loved this audiobook. The writing is beautiful and Will Patton, perhaps my favorite narrator, brings the writing to life.
Started this audiobook on the drive back from dropping my daughter back at college. I must have looked like an idiot to the other drivers- I was alone in the car and laughing so hard! Such a funny book!
So far, enjoying this YA book. It's my first book by Nicola Yoon, and she nails the main characters' dialog. #RITeenBookNominees
This was a fun, light "read"...I listened to the audio and the narrator was great!
Today I met author Leah DeCesare at her book signing at Barrington Books. Excited to read her debut novel!
A funny, different book with authentic, teenage boy dialog that makes this YA book stand out. #RITeenBookNominees
A #RITeenBookNominees about Riley, a gender fluid teen who switches from private school to public school to escape daily harassment. It's a good book, and you care about Riley and root for Riley to overcome the battles he/she faces.
Great teen chicklit, beach read. A 17 year old American loses her mother to cancer and travels to Italy to meet the father she never knew about. There is love and a bit of a mystery. Is it cheesy? Yes, but just go along for the ride and enjoy! #RITeenBookNominees
Another good one for #RITeenBookNominees An American of Pakistani heritage is tricked into going to Pakistan and forced into an arranged marriage by her parents.
A story about a 15 year old boy's first schizophrenic episode where the story alternates between the real world and the bizarre fantasy world set on an old sailing ship. At times a bit long, but a good book. #RITeenBookNominees
Dill is the son of a Tennessean, snake-handling preacher who is incarcerated for possessing child pornography. High school is not exactly fun for Dill, but his music and two best friends, misfits Lydia and Travis, help him survive and maybe see a life after High School. Great story with a twist that threw me! So far my favorite for #RITeenBookNominees
Another #RITeenBookNominees. A HS cheerleader is drugged and raped at a summer cheerleading camp. The story is about how the main character responds to this trauma with the support of her best friend. Good book about a tough subject.
Working my way through the 2018 RI Teen Book Award nominees and just started this audiobook. Thank goodness for audiobooks, the library, and Overdrive! #RITeenBookNominees
Thank you, @LibraryDeity for this wonderful Book Lover's Journal. It's old school Litsy- I love it!
Laughed out loud at many parts of this audiobook. Great narrator! Once you accept the idea that a man would actually go through with a family vacation after his wife tells him she is going to leave him after the trip, it's great!😄
Loved this book! Thought it should have won the Newbery Award for 2011. But it was National Book Award finalist :) Great audiobook! @monalyisha
Thought I would be on the wait list forever, but was presently surprised when this was checked out to me today!
Ok, another Ron Rash novel, and it is not disappointing! I am not a good writer of reviews, but Ron Rash is just a great storyteller. Highly recommend this author. There is no connection between my big, sloppy pup and the story...just love posting him! #dogsoflitsy Also, love my new mini book light from #barringtonbooks !
I am completely entertained with this chick lit audiobook! Fun!
Excellent. One of the best YA books I've read in awhile.
I'm on a Ron Rash kick! Rash's writing puts you right there in this small Appalachian town where a murder is committed, and its ramifications are revealed through the eyes of five different characters. Great storytelling!
It was nice to turn off all the bad news on the radio and ride along with this sweet story (audiobook) on my commute.
LOVE this book. There are only a handful of books that I reread, and this is one of them. Pearl Buck - amazing storyteller.
Listening to Ron Rash's The Cove. Enjoying the writing style and story so far!
Really liking this author! She combines a good mystery with the paranormal. Can't wait to listen /read get other books.
I kept rereading these words... they just struck me.
This is one of the best books I have ever read, and I am trying to find a book that grabs me like this one. So far, none come close. The writing, the characters, the plot...all stellar. Any suggestions?
After only a few pages, I'm already sucked in. I love the writing style- although it's not a rainbows and puppies kind of book, that's for sure! Pretty sure I will stay up WAY too late reading this one.? I am loving all my YA reading, but was in need of a "grown up" book too! @monalyisha
Started this YA audiobook on my way to work this morning, and missed my exit... so far so good!😄

Just listened to another A.S. King YA novel courtesy of my local library. ❤ 📚 #lovelibraries
I've read few of A.S. King's books so far, and this was one of my favorites. Intense, as it involves relentless bullying, but also funny with some much needed comic relief.
"Arse over elbow and a mouthful of river." Thanks for the recommendation, @Monalyisha !
Snowy night, crackling fire, a snuggly pooch and a good book...perfect! #SaintBernardsoflitsy

Good YA story about identity, honesty, and navigating high school and family relationships.
Heartbreaking YA story tackling death, mental illness and suicide.
