Began reading this today for #bookclub. It's very interesting that readers get the killer's thoughts in the prologue then meet a lot of characters later on... Who is the killer? Did we meet them already? These are the thoughts running through my head as I read.

The main character, Maddy, accepts a job as a live-in caretaker at a house by a lake. While there strange things happen to her.

"Why do I always choose the one with the crazy wheel?"

"The cat shot up a leg and began to wash as if that had been the plan all along."

? This describes most cats perfectly!

"There was no elevator music. That was nice." ?

"At least on a subatomic level, human will can in part shape reality."

I love Will Robie! David Baldacci's characters are brilliant. I give it a 5 out 5.
If you like a plot that moves right along, mystery, and dry humor this is the book for you.
