I have no words. Except that I love how you can interpret this book as THE GREATEST FEMALE FRIENDSHIP OF ALL TIME, or also as WWII VINTAGE LESBIANS. Either way, their dynamic (plus the unreliable narrator aspect) makes this book 💯💯💯

Super compelling graphic novel about badass twelve-year-old paper delivery girls in 1988 facing what seems like the end of the world and is actually aliens & time travel. Gotta grab the next one.

Current emotion: screaming about this upcoming f/f YA book. Heartfelt! Hilarious! Adorable! Really, really queer!! I have literal heart eyes. 😍 One of the best books I've read all year.

Lowkey cried my way through this one. Natasha and Daniel. Wow. And the way this is told - through their POVs but also with insight into the secondary characters - wow. Pleas read this book.

I had high hopes, based on the premise, but the writing style just wasn't for me. It felt very overdramatic, and the main character flip flopped opinions so many times that I had no sympathy. I wanted to care about the main secondary character but I was too annoyed.

Read this one last week! I genuinely couldn't put it down. Kate and Violet are everything to me.

Loved this book. Took some pretty thrilling turns. Plus, Frannie and Tru are both compelling in their own rights. Not a fluffy read so be prepared for intensity.

Re-reading in prep for viewing this evening at Hoosier Shakes 👌🏼. Having just finished a run of The Comedy of Errors, it's actually hilarious how much is echoed in this later play. Nice.

A lot was left unresolved at the end... felt like a "love fixes mental illness" story. Did not like. Also, main female character was def a manic pixie dream girl. She likes comics! She wears band tees! She has colored hair! Wow. (No.)

I felt ALL the things. I could empathize with all the three main characters, even when I didn't like them all. Plus, I thought I knew where this book was headed, and the ending definitely surprised me.

Great depiction of the downfall of the American Dream. I'm ashamed I hadn't read this classic earlier.

Hilarious and very much like a bizarre road trip fairytale. Unrealistic at times but in a self-aware way, and oh-so satisfying. A definite addition to my classroom's LGBTQ+ shelf.

Apparently this ARC isn't on Litsy yet?? But Josh Sundquist's new book LOVE AND FIRST SIGHT is adorable. I love getting to know stories through non-sighted perspectives, and this one was very well done.

Nah, bro. I love All the Bright Places but this book was distinctly Not Good for a variety of reasons.

So... I finished the Raven King. Vaguely dissatisfied with some of the conclusions to the character arcs, but overall a nice end to the series.

This is definitely a thought-provoking memoir. The way her memories are categorized: mesmerizing. Plus, the art element also added another layer to the story. Not sure if I enjoyed reading it, but I'm glad I did.

Stunningly beautiful, though the ending took time to grow on me. That happened more readily when I remembered that not all books were written specifically for me.

This book is magical. Super raw and moving. I was up until 3 am finishing this over spring break; when it was over, I had a book hangover of the best kind. Thanks to OwlCrate for a great pick last month.

I love books that rip my heart to shreds, so. Fair warning, though, if you don't like reading about supremely messed up families, you will not like this book.

Loved the poetic descriptions and unreliable narrators - but honestly, there wasn't much of a plot.

If you expect it to be anything like The Winter's Tale, you'll be disappointed. But as a story in its own right, it's solid and has a compelling heart.

Part of my "LGBTQ+ read-a-thon." Super funny and raw. Didn't really shy away from /anything/ and is a must-read for superhero fans. I can't believe I hadn't read this before.

LOVED the characters. All of them are beautifully developed. The plot drifted after a while, though, and it lost most of its steam for me. I'd still rec this to people who dig fantasy/historical fiction combinations.

Well, wasn't THAT a tear-jerker. But in an honest way. I loved the emotional realism, and the fact that the focus is the love of a family, without any messy, forced romance.

Badass blind protagonist. Creepy creatures and dark fantasy settings, lots of chemistry with the romance. My only complaint is that there's no sequel (yet). #fridayreads
