The first third of a trilogy of Korean graphic novels. This is like a lyric poem in a traditional pastoral setting telling the story of a young girl coming of age, and her relationship with her mother who is a young widow. This is the first GN I‘ve read that is quite so poetic, and I‘m looking forward to reading the other two volumes to see how this concludes. #BBRCTeenAngstBookInTranslation @LibrarianRyan

Really enjoyed this sweet GN (manhwa, Korean equivalent of manga - learn something new every day) about growing up. The relationship between mother and daughter is the core and strength of it. I love how the art shows the teenage transition, some panels she looks so childlike and some so adult.
I've requested the sequels from the library.

Sometimes I just peruse the graphic novel section without researching at all... and this gem is a result of that. Had no idea what to expect, and em enjoying it so much. No punches pulled story about growing up as a girl, and finding womanhood (sometimes, the rough prickly way).
