In honor of the really spectacular Doctor Who news that I've just heard, I decided to take a picture of my prized Who book collection to share with you guys! :-) ♡♡♡

NovelGirl82 Nice! That's one of the few fan dims that I've not gotten in to, but my bedtime of over 20 years is a huge fan! She was talking to me about it today, and told me that many people are upset about it. 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm I'm soooooo excited!!!!! 7y
Branwen @NovelGirl82 Awww, really? That's a shame, it makes me really sad to hear that! I think it's a fantastic idea and just what the show needs! :-) @Mariposa_Bookworm RIGHT?!?! ME TOO!!!! IT'S AMAZING! 7y

NovelGirl82 I thought it sounded pretty cool. I don't watch, but I know the premise. It seems to me that this race should be able to be gender fluid, & be able to regenerate as female, right? 7y
Branwen @NovelGirl82 Yes, exactly! :-) 7y
LeeRHarry Just what the show needed ! Good choice!! 7y
Branwen @LeeRHarry I think so too! I'm really excited! :-) 7y

This awesome publisher/publicity agent offered hard copies of this book to people approved on #Netgalley to read and review it. I took them up on the hard copy offer and they sent this gorgeous #hardcover. That isn't a jacket. The book's cover looks like that. It's awesome. This is going to be started tomorrow. #DoctorWho

Seekingtardis It is soooooo good!! 😍😍🦄 7y

Ever feel like you're too old for Dr Who? I don't usually, but I did for this book. It's pretty clearly aimed at kids and the result is disappointingly straightforward. The 12th Doctor travels without a companion in a series of unrelated short stories. They're okay but lack any real depth, and are even a little repetitive. If you're a 10-12 yr old DW fan, you'll likely enjoy it. Older than that, skip. (Free copy via netgalley in return for review)

Laura317 Dang it! I was SO hopeful. I'll mark that off my tbr list. Thanks for the review. 8y
ThatNeilGuy I didn't have room to add that the Dr didn't even really seem much like 12. Sigh. 8y
Sue That's upsetting :( 8y

Finished two more of the stories. They remain very simplistic, and there's no connecting thread between tales. The Doctor is companionless, by the way. Just seems aimed at younger readers than usual for Who novels.

Laura317 Rats! I was hoping. 8y

Yay #netgalley !! 4/5🌟I very much enjoyed the vivid explanations that allowed me to form my very own episode in my head. I have always wondered what The Doctor was up to between episodes and companions. The author is great at keeping the heart of the show alive in written for. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is due to the fact that The Doctor didn't talk like The Doctor would. He didn't have his usual craziness. But all in all great!

The man had a face that somehow seemed both stern and friendly at the same time, with pronounced, frowning eyebrows and greeting hair. 😂😂 the eyebrows!!👌🏻
