Hello Littens!! I know I haven‘t been on Litsy at all in 2019, but I was so excited to receive this that I had to share. This is my most anticipated book of the year, and I can‘t wait to start reading!! #tenthousanddoors #currentlyreading

This book was so incredibly funny. If Warm Bodies and Twilight had a really sarcastic baby, this would be it. Seriously, I highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Full review posted here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/08/13/chemistry/
I‘m pretty sure this is my favorite book of all time. It‘s the book I recommend the most and think about the most. The portrayal of music in this book speaks to me on an incredibly deep level. I know there‘s a lot of disappointment out there regarding the length of time between books and the attitude of the author toward fans, but it is without a doubt worth reading anyway. I decided to come up with a Top 10 list of my favorite books of the year so far. These are a few of them, and you can see the rest of the list here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/08/01/celestestop10janthrujuly2018/ What are a few of your favorites so far?
This series continues to be fabulous. It blends so many of my favorite genres, the characters are insanely well developed, and the story is never predictable. Highly recommend. Full review here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/27/cityofblades/
I absolutely love this book. It was lovely and heartbreaking and profound. Wolas has such a beautiful way with words, and her character development is second to none. Full review here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/25/thefamilytabor/
I‘m absolutely loving both of these so far. They couldn‘t be more different from one another, and that makes me happy. I feel so well rounded as a reader right now. 😂😂
Wow. This was so much better than I expected. It‘s not a book I ever intended to read, but when your grandmother shoves a book at you because she loved it so much it‘s really hard to turn it down. It was action-packed and engaging and well paced, and the main character was awesome. Full review here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/18/the-chemist/
I‘m ecstatic right now!!! I‘ve been counting down the days until this book released, and it‘s finally here! I loved The Resurrection of Joan Ashby with all of my heart, and I‘m so incredibly excited to read Wolas‘s sophomore work! 😍😍😍
Hands down one of the best books I‘ve ever read. Mystery, philosophy, horror, and fantasy all rolled into one. If you‘re a fan of stories where religion is a dominant theme, you should definitely check it out! You can read my full review here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/13/cityofstairs/
I loved the world building in this. Getting an urban fantasy story from a Native American perspective was wonderful. But I had a really hard time connecting to the characters, and I found the book unrelentingly dark. It had its pros and cons. Full review here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/11/trailoflightning/
I‘ve been taking a fantasy break for the past month or two, and I‘m super excited to dive back into my favorite genre. Up first: a trilogy that my friends have raved about that‘s been on my shelf for over a year. I‘ve heard is slow and philosophical and incredibly original. I‘m only a few chapters in, but I‘m loving it so far!
I. LOVE. THIS. Seriously, it was just as funny and awesome as My Lady Jane. I can‘t recommend it enough. My full review is here: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/05/myplainjane/
Hello friends! Sorry I‘ve been away for so long. I was busy building a new blog with a friend! This book had an interesting premise, but I had a bit of a hard time connecting with the characters. I loved what it had to say about art, though! You can read my full review on my new blog: http://novelnotions.net/2018/07/03/the-muse/
I would love a chance to win stack #3. Thanks for the giveaway, @Cinfhen ! And I hope you have a wonderful trip! #ShelfSpaceGiveaway
I decided to show off some of my children‘s books for #ShelfieSaturday, because I think it‘s a really pretty arrangement. I definitely made use of every square inch of space! 😅 #ReadingResolutions #June
Here‘s my tentative #JuneTBR and #AnticipatedJuneReads . Tentative because I‘m a super moody reader so everything is subject to change, especially the classics. I might substitute some of these for a few of the #GreatAmericanReads I haven‘t read yet. Tagged book is my most anticipated, and I‘m over halfway through both The Outsider and Christy already! #ReadingResolutions #June #JuneInBooks18
This book was stunning. The character development was above reproach and the prose was gorgeous. I‘m not always the biggest fan of retellings, but this one was incredible. Full review here: http://www.celestialmusings.org/?p=577
This was hands down the funniest book I‘ve ever read. If you‘re an audiobook fan, you should definitely give this one a listen. But it‘s worth a read in whatever format you fancy. Full review here: http://www.celestialmusings.org/?p=575
This was theologically amazing. I had some issues with the writing, but Dekker always has a great story to tell. Full review can be found here: http://www.celestialmusings.org/?p=569
1. 56!
2. It did. I really want to read: A Confederacy of Dunces; A Prayer for Owen Meany; Beloved; Bless Me, Ultima; Crime and Punishment; Dune; Gilead; The Institutionalist; The Joy Luck Club; Lonesome Dove; One Hundred Years of Solitude; Rebecca; and basically all of the other ones I haven‘t read. I also want to give The Color Purple a second chance!
3. Harry Potter, Narnia, The Stand, Jane Eyre #GARthoughts @Traci1
This book is gorgeous inside and out. I‘m enjoying it so much!
Sorry I haven‘t been around much lately, y‘all. I‘ve still been lurking, but life got crazy and I haven‘t had the energy to even attempt taking any pretty pics. I wanted to share this book, though. I‘ve been absolutely loving it. It‘s super educational, but also really fun to read. And the illustrations are adorable!
Finally getting a chance to start this and I am SO EXCITED right now!!!
Look what came in today! Belated birthday present!! 😍😍😍
Finally getting to read this lovely birthday gift from a friend. I loved the original trilogy, so here‘s hoping that this new installment is just as wonderful! 🤞🏻🙏🏻
My wonderful family just threw me a little birthday party. Look at this gorgeous copy of The Princess Bride that my parents gave me!! 😍😍😍
My little lion is cute. King‘s hedge lions and dog in this book are NOT CUTE. Terrified of literary topiary. Not what I expected from my reading experience. The hedges were seriously the scariest part of the book to me so far. 😂😅
Hi there, Littens! I hate that I haven‘t had time to be more active in this lovely community, but I‘m finally getting the chance to snuggle in and read for a bit! Current read: my (very ugly) copy of The Shining. Really enjoying it so far! Also pictured: my incredibly spoiled little Luna dog.
I'm #currentlyreading this, and thought it was perfect for #feministfriday! #readingresolutions #janinbooks18
This is without a doubt my #favoritebookopeningline. It just immediately sets the mood and tone for the story. Also, Bilbo is as #brave as they come, in my opinion! #readingresolutions #janinbooks18
I don't have a lot of #bookmerch, but what I do have tends to be Harry Potter or LotR related. The rest of my shelf decor is mostly from movie or tv fandoms. Also, LotR is my pick for #slowburn. So slow, in fact, that I've never made it more than halfway through The Two Towers even though I've started it at least three times. And I call myself a fantasy fan... 😔😅 #readingresolutions #janinbooks18
I can't think of any #disaster worse than Captain Trips. I'm also going to use it as my #recommendascifibook, even though I think that it really transcends genre. One of my very favorites. #readingresolutions #janinbooks18
Decided to get in on the #graphicnovelweeklongreadathon and the #speechbubblechallenge. I've randomly been in the mood for graphic novels and have read Monstress vol. 1, Paper Girls deluxe vol. 1, and Saga vol. 7 so far, and am almost finished with this one. It's a nice change! Thought this frame worked for #sidekickfromhell. Poor Green Arrow, having to put up with Harley... 😂😂
If ever #deception could be a superpower, it is for Locke. He's made lying into an art form. #characterwithsuperpower #readingresolutions #janinbooks18
As lovely as this book is, it presents a #future I fervently hope our world avoids. #readingresolutions
Talk about a #bookwithalongtitle. This one actually has two subtitles! It was an adorable book, by the way, and the audiobook version was super fun. #janinbooks18
This lovely little book is one that I #finishedinonesitting and promptly pushed onto my mom and brother. They loved it as much as I did! #janinbooks18
Well, I used this collection yesterday, but it's also my current #audiobook. All of the Holmes stories as read by Stephen Fry? Yes please!!! #readingresolutions
Sherlock is who immediately comes to mind when I think of #footprints. Also, I can't think of any series that has been more frequently adapted for #bookstosilverscreens. #readingresolutions #janinbooks18
Excited to start my third reread of one of my favorite books, and in this fabulous new edition my husband gave me for Christmas! My little Luna dog is looking pretty #tranquil next to me. I'm in comfy pjs and listening to the rain pouring down. Life's pretty darn awesome. #readingresolutions
I don't have a #favoritetearjerkerbook, but all of these have moved me to tears, and I've reread them all. Words can be so powerful, and these books showcase that beautifully. #janinbooks18
Each of these is #abookwithabeautifulcover, and each has some #trickytwists. I can't recommend them both highly enough. Two of my favorite books from 2017!! #janinbooks18 #readingresolutions
The art was stunning, and the plot was interesting. I felt like the art actually overwhelmed the storyline in places, but I definitely enjoyed it. Highly recommend!
My editions of this trilogy have incredibly #cringeworthy covers... 😂😂😂 #readingresolutions
As of right now, this is my #favoritediverseread. I've loved both this and Every Heart a Doorway. Fingers crossed that Beneath the Sugar Sky will be just as wonderful!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 #janinbooks18
