This book is so important to read and I think it should be for any age group. There is a heart that is cut out throughout the whole book which is so fun! Also, the illustrations look like a child could do it, so it could be more relatable for them.
In My Heart, Jo Witek, 2013. This book walks us through feelings and associates them with colors. It normalizes feeling your feelings and that it is all normal.
Originally published in French, the translated version of this RF book touches on the range of emotions that we have in our hearts. The colorful die-cut hearts that are seen on each page make it appealing and excites children to see what is coming on the next page. Though this award winner (New Zealand Book Award for Children and Young Adults, New York Times Bestseller) is meant for young readers, it would benefit all ages.
This book is adorable. 🥰🥰🥰
A new indie bookstore opened nearby yesterday! My niece loved it as much as I did! #shoplocal #smallbusinesssaturday #raisingreaders 💕
I just bought this gorgeous book for my niece‘s baby boy. It‘s a board book with cut out hearts. Each page talks about a different way your heart can feel - including grey and sad. I hope that reading this aloud to a small child will be a great way to show it‘s okay to have a wide range of feelings. And hopefully as they get older they‘ll talk about them 😊
Cute illustrations accompany descriptions of emotions as opposed to naming the feelings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is so lovely, especially since feelings are a big topic of conversation with our little hellion. The artwork in this book is great too! #picturebooks #feelings #kidsbooks
