#TarotTakeover Day 3: The Empress

The Archeon Tarot style of historic Blood Memory, really suits well with Martha Graham. Mythologies through creative dance, and strong feminine spirits. 💃 Also thinking of Gabrielle Roth, as a favourite inspiration for spiritual dance.

Eek! Annoying home repair issues have me late posting #TuesdayTidbits!
1) A Tale of Two Cities, although I have promised myself I will give it another try eventually
2) Babyel cheese, I eat way too much of it
3) I love Trevor Noah with my whole heart, but since he has already gotten so much love today, I‘ll go with Martha Graham‘s autobiography. Even if you aren‘t a dancer, it‘s a fantastic read
4) It‘s so late, I tag anyone who wants to join in!

Martha Graham, one of history‘s most influential “dancing ladies”.

(This autobiography is full of the most gorgeous photographs ❤️).

Zelma Any time I hear her name, I instantly have Robin Williams‘ voice in my head (from the dance scene in The Birdcage 😳). 6y

Zelma @MaureenMc I‘m glad I‘m not the only one! 😂👍 6y
LeahBergen @Zelma @MaureenMc I haven‘t seen Birdcage. 😮 And now I NEED to for this Martha Graham reference. 😄 6y
Zelma @LeahBergen it‘s a really fun movie. Over-the-top performances by Nathan Lane and Robin Williams, but as performer and owner of a drag club, it totally works. And Gene Hackman is pure gold. 6y

#shepersisted Martha Graham memoirs her paths of free spirits; however unspecified as an advocate, she is definitely famously remembered for feminine strength and soulful expression in dance. She traveled the world in admiration, never afraid of inventive new risks, or confronting any situation that wasn't treated fairly. #marchintoreading

#historicalheroines Martha Graham, with expressive dance telling the tales of goddess mythos, while mending and empowering old-day views on roles and rights. #feistyfeb

A quick post for #autobiography with lots more I'm sure to share on Martha Graham, since discovering her dance videos on YouTube. This cover rarely shows up in most databases for some reason. 🤔 It really should be more available, while if rare, I was lucky to find it at a $2.00 Shoppers Drug Mart book sale, last year in the fall. 💃🏻
