Seeing her journal, in person, after loving and reading these very words for 30 years- it meant a lot to me. I think I was more reverent than when I saw a Gutenberg bible. 🖤

Almost done with volume one. And this part just killed me. 💔
Am I the only person completely over seeing GIRL in the title of a book? I am refusing to read any- this is how incredibly annoying it is to me.
This is such a special movie for me and i am so happy to finally have my hands on this book.
"He loves a version of me that is incomplete. I always thought it was what I wanted: to be loved and admired. Now I think perhaps I'd like to be known."
I'm really enjoying this read but there is one thing I am finding so hard to buy- the reference librarian who has a hard time doing his own research and needs help. Total BS. The author knows swimming, but she does not know librarians.
I'll play! #LETSTALKABOUTBOOKSBABY
1- Rhode Island
2- The Man Who Shot My Eye Out Is Dead
3- Off the Cliff (about Thelma & Louise)!
4- Ramona books
5- Breakfast at Tiffany's...no wait, Shawshank Redemption! No- actually The End of the Affair.
6- New Roz Chast about NYC
Back from retreat (Buddha camp) and starting a new job. Life feels hectic. Feeling like I have no time to read. 😔
Appropriate reading while I'm away at my yearly Buddhist retreat. Also my #readharder #poetry pick
"'She has beautiful skin' means she's as white as a tampon." I've heard this before. And yes, I am.
Hellish is the word that comes to mind with this read. I am pretty disappointed. While Schiff obviously did her research, she states in the first chapter there was not a lot to go on. This period in New England history is so embarrassing to me. Reading about the ridiculous accusations is frustrating. I'm just kind of trudging along since this is my #readharder pick for a book that takes place 100 miles away.
Love seeing my little one read. Look. That's an iPad NOT being used nearby!
In such a reading slump right now. Everything feels mediocre. So I grabbed something I've already read and know is amazing. I love doing this- coming back to books I haven't read in 20 years. They are always different reads now.
I just spent the last three days, sick in bed and pretty much bookless. This is the first book I pick up upon feeling better. Am I insane?
Who else has #literarytattoos ? I got this one 4 years ago and I hate to say it's blurred over the years- but here's the picture from the first day! #sylviaplath #obsessed
Such a great book. I wish teens would go wild for this instead of crap like Twilight.
Feeling sicky and crappy today but I'm laughing and crying with this amazing book.
I am enjoying this but...wtf is going on?
The Buddhist goes wild for the Bible. Well, when it's a Gutenberg. And it's the second one I've seen this year! The Morgan has 3 copies but this was the only one on display.
More geek out moments from my NYC book tour. The Morgan Library. Mr. Morgan is my new dead boyfriend.
I got to totally geek out this weekend and had a book tour of NYC. Rose reading room at the New York Public Library.
I think my youngest son may enjoy this. So rare I actually read a comic or graphic novel that I can expose my children to. 😜
I love books about books and this one speaks to me in so many ways.
I read this recently but the audio took it to a whole new level. Amazing.
Not really what I thought it was going to be, but lovely nonetheless.
Possibly one of my favorite sentences. Or first half of a sentence, technically. This books is wonderful too.
I am simply amazed at the art in this book. Loving it.
Meh. As I read this book I feel similar to when I read Lake of Dead Languages- another Secret History inspired book and no one can write like Donna Tartt.
I feel rather disturbed by the last paragraph in this book.
My other obsession. ❤ There are more books on top that didn't fit into the square crop.
I've spent Mother's Day rearranging books. I am reminded of my #jeanrhys obsession.
