A haunted house, a murder/suicide, time travel, an alternate dimension, an FBI manhunt, and a gay romance makes this an interesting read. I can always count on Poppy Z. Brite to be delightfully and entertainingly weird. I particularly liked the supporting character Eddy, who I think deserves her own novel. As with all of Poppy Z. Brite‘s novels, this is filled with sex, violence, and alienated characters living on the fringe of society. Unique.

Finally finished rereading this one. That was a great trip through nostalgia. I had completely forgotten the ending too so it was nice to revisit. I wish I had started with Lost Souls because all the mentions of Ghost and Steve made me miss that book as well.

Fun, gay, gore-romp for those who like such things.

Doing a reread of this one. I didn‘t realize it, but it‘s been nearly 20 years since I actually read it and now I‘m terrified I won‘t like it any more. I guess it‘s better to know either way.

October makes me miss people that aren‘t here anymore and I thought reading something that reminds me of those times might be nice.
