Library discard #bookhaul again 🤦🏻‍♀️why can‘t I stop?!

MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Because buying books is like breathing! 😅😜 4y
ravenlee @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm these have all been free, it‘s why I can‘t resist! But I have no room as it is, and am trying to read and discard...the eternal struggle. 4y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Oh goodness, FREE books? At that point, I applaud your restraint! 😅🤣 4y

Mehso-so

#stayhome24in48

Some essays brilliant - particularly the ethics of property ownership in Emma was so fascinating - but in general this felt poorly edited and there were some un-corrected factual errors that made it feel less academic than I think it was trying to be and made me less inclined to trust it. Overall it was enjoyable but more worth the price of a normal book than the price of an academic book!

Nearly 2 hours into #24in48 and I‘ve made my trip outside for the weekend: an early morning supermarket trip where I MANAGED TO GET EGGS AND CHICKEN which is not something I ever thought I‘d be excited about but here we are. The panic buyers were out in force - one man buying only Doritos was my absolute fave.

Now on the sofa with a stack from my tbr to work through. I‘m so bored I wanna get through some classics I‘ve had sitting around for ages

LeafingThroughLife Impressive grocery haul for this day and age! When I finally go out I‘ll probably be the person buying all the chips. 🤣 5y
TheAromaofBooks haha gotta stock up on what's important! 5y

xicanti I think your Doritos man must‘ve coordinated with the couple I saw last weekend. The whole trunk of their car was full of Pringles, energy drinks, and eggs. 5y
MicheleinPhilly We come home from our outings like “Babe, you‘ll never believe it! I found sausages!” like we won the lottery or something. 5y
Emilymdxn @LeafingThroughLife @micheleinphilly @TheAromaofBooks @xicanti I‘ve also seen a woman just buying like ten bottles of wine - I love her priorities 5y
Amandajoy My husband came home from the store with eggs and the last bottle of rubbing alcohol. Never thought I‘d be so excited about rubbing alcohol. 5y
PurpleTulipGirl As someone who stocked up on Pop Tarts, chocolate, wine, Diet Coke, and cereal, I think Doritos guy needs to remember there are other food groups. Like salsa, for some veggies. 5y
Emilymdxn @amandajoy you're right this weird time makes me feel a lot more appreciative of some very small things! if i ever manage to find beef mince for my mum i will be happier than i ever thought groceries could make me 5y
Emilymdxn @purpletulipgirl you're absolutely right, veggies are so important. such as fries and ketchup - both are vegetables 5y
