When Minneapolis homicide detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth are called to a crime scene in a heavily wooded city park, everything about the setting is all too familiar. And when they discover a playing card on the victim's body, their worst fears are confirmedtheres a serial killer operating in the city for the first time in years. Across town, Grace MacBride and her unconventional partners at Monkeewrench Software find themselves at both personal and career crossroads. Weary of the darker side of their computer work for law enforcement, they agree to take on a private missing-persons case in a small farming community in southwestern Minnesota. Good and enjoyable mystery. I‘ve really liked the Monkeewrench crew and police detectives and am interested to see what happens next. There were a few things in this one that made my antenna perk up and I hoping the next book doesn‘t do so. Lastly, it‘s sad that the mother of the mother daughter writing team has passed on. I‘m wondering if this was the last joint effort or the daughter‘s solo work.

#TBRtemptation post 5! Recently released. The 8th installment in the Monkeewrench series. In Minneapolis, detectives Magozzi & Rolseth are placed on a murder case of a serial killer who leaves playing cards behind. Meanwhile, Grace & her partners at Monkeewrench software take on a missing persons case on a Minnesota farm. When the two groups link up their investigations, the big picture looks overwhelming. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎

Monkeewrench is back and looking for a missing woman. They get a little help from their police friends who are looking for a serial killer. Not my favorite of the summer but a good, quick read.

Not as strong as some of the earlier ones in the series, but a decent enough read.

This is a very cold ice pack inside my pillowcase. I either have a IT Band that is messed up or a lateral ligament problem. This is the worst I've ever been injured since I started running three years ago. I love running almost as much as I love reading 😩

Alfoster Oh...I feel your pain😢! I'm due for a knee replacement soon. Ice is my friend (though not as much as books📚📚📚)! Hope you're back to running soon! 8y
Suzze Ugh. Hope you start feeling better. @Alfoster I'm hoping to not need a new knee, but things are not looking good. 8y
Alfoster @Suzze Yes, this age thing kind of sucks!😜 8y
