pickI‘ve been so distracted lately and having a hard time concentrating on reading the past few weeks. ☹️ I‘m thankful for the New Year and looking forward to getting back on track with my reading goals!
My 1st read for the year is book 4 in the Corinna Chapman mysteries. Nothing will ever top Phryne Fisher, but this series epitomizes what a cozy mystery is to me. I love the descriptions of delicious food and the sense of community at Insula. 4⭐️

so-so3rd book from my December TBR and it was a bit disappointing. I love the characters Greenwood has created for this series, but this story seems a bit messy, and the ending a little rushed. This series definitely isn‘t as good as Greenwood‘s Phryne Fisher series

pickSins of the past have a long shadow and a way of not staying in the past - but Corinna and Daniel eventually get to the bottom of it all - but quite a lot happens along the way, including a health department bakery shut down, many Insula picnics and suppers (please can I move into this building), witches gathering, unexpected snakes and quite a bit of history that I knew nothing about (mainly the Nazi occupation of Greece in WWII)
🎃treats! 🎃at a school I worked out years ago, we dressed as book covers. I was To Kill a Mockingbird. We used the paper grocery bags and wore them as vests. Too many cultures that didn‘t do Halloween. It was great. 🎃I really don‘t have one. 🎃 we don‘t do Halloween , 🎃 but there is one! #hellothursday
