Im currently laying on the floor in our air bnb trying to get the swelling to go down in my ankles and letting my phone charge. While laying here I started thinking about how much I‘m loving the aura of this city, the feeling of it‘s history and it‘s awesome culture. So I figured I would ask my fellow kittens to recommend awesome books set in NOLA that capture the essence of this city. Any and all genres accepted #Nola

RaimeyGallant Can't think of anything. I'm sure I have, but nothing recently enough for me to remember titles. Love nola too. :) 7y
YouReadMyEyes I think the play A Street Car Named Desire ...? When I was in NOLA I picked up an interesting nonfiction called Wicked New Orleans. 7y
SALeahey I bought several New Orleans based books while I was there I particularly liked this shop: Garden District Book Shop
2727 Prytania St, New Orleans, LA 70130

Swampy & stormy in DC today, which always makes me think of one of my favorite cities to visit: New Orleans. In between beignets & po boys (& pralines & Sazeracs & muffulettas), I always make time to stop by Garden District Book Shop. I highly recommend you do too. #independentseveryday #bookstore #bookstorelove #booktour #authorsofinstagram #bookstagram #indiebound #nola #gardendistrict #bontempsrouler #getindie
