It was my first #SteamPunk book and got me hooked on the series.
pickI loved the premise and I didn‘t guess the ending AT ALL, but the writing is a bit dry and the fight scenes aren‘t that well written. Sir Maurice is a Sherlock-like figure in a steampunk London where Queen Victoria is kept alive by machines and a Zombie-like plague is overrunning the poor. Veronica, his new assistant, joins him on the queen‘s mission to learn why an Airship crashed. 3/5 stars, read if you like Sherlock & Steampunk.
In October I finished 15 books: 9 physical books, 3 ebooks & 3 audiobooks. I enjoyed all the books this month. My favorites were Books of Blood, Clash of Kings, Wizard and Glass, Hex & The Affinity Bridge.

pick3.5/5 - this was a little darker than my usual #steampunk reads, but it was a good story with solid characters, and the epilogue was intriguing enough to make me continue with the series. Getting the #booked2018 reads in just under the wire this quarter! @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft

3. Veronica Hobbes from Newbury and Hobbes series by George Mann. Both are agents solving crimes. These are steampunk stories. Interesting!
