Ahhh this book has such a good cover unfortunately it didn‘t work for me.

Book ✔️ Sushi ✔️glass of wine ✔️. Next up The Housekeeper! A relaxing rainy evening for us. Crazy it‘s January and raining! We have been on a roller coaster ride with our weather in IL.
Although this book is described as a psychological thriller, which is what had drawn me to it, it is not. I kept waiting and waiting for something ‘thrilling‘ to happen.: it is however about a trusting woman trying to come to terms with her past. I liked the writing, the characters were successfully drawn out, and the morals and betrayals are clear through and through. Good read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m not going to be able to stay up long enough, but I‘m going to try so that I can finish this.. or at least come close. I‘m ready to be done with it ✌🏻 🍷
Starting this one after my thousands of errands today..
Oh my bins though! All or nothing as usual! 4 more holds are here 🚴🏻♀️💆🏻 #LitsyLovesLibraries
I cannot remember who recommended this book and I read no reviews about it prior to picking it up. Her descriptions of how you feel when you leave something or someone behind are bang on.
Engaging but I wouldn't say that it thrilled me. I enjoyed 3/4 of the book but then it fell flat. ⚜️⚜️⚜️
"Being strong doesn't mean closing yourself off from the world and pulling up the drawbridge. True strength comes from being open about your fragilities and weaknesses, to yourself and others."
The housekeeper was touted as a “nail biting psychological thriller” but in my opinion is a journey of self exploration and a look at karma at it‘s best. (Full review on Goodreads & Instagram).
I try to read books that have a due date first. I've been so busy reading library books and ARC's but I haven't had much time to just read whatever I want, whenever I want. So, this is my last ARC. Hopefully I won't get approved for any more for a while. LOL #BookishProblems
My 'H' for the #LitsyAtoZ! I've finished 3 for this challenge. 😊 Anyway, The Housekeeper is a pick. Plenty of secrets, obsessive behaviour, growing up in a weird cult, etc. And plenty, plenty of food descriptions to keep you dreaming and thinking of food! I was craving Indian food at one point while reading. Look for this one at the end of February!
Oh yeah!! Happy Friday!! My weekend plans = 📚🍷🔥 All. Weekend. Long. Starting. Tonight!!
Starting on The Housekeeper (tomorrow). Will be the "H" in my #LitsyAtoZ. Could also use this for the #LitsyReadingChallenge for "Based on cover" square couldn't I?? #Bookcoverporn
Did I request this book based mostly on the cover? Yes. Yes, I did.
