I read about where she is meeting her new family. She learned their names and three alternative names. They learned there history where they will live. They talked about emergencies there, contacts and school.

Genre: Fiction and Amusing Thriller
I have found this book very interesting because of how the author can really describe the character's feeling in such a simple yet descriptive format. The character is a clever girl who has been quick-witted. The character is dealing with her own problems but is still willing to help other even if she is anxious.
Fiction: This book is about a girl is in seventh grade name Nicki Demere. an orphan whose father is a criminal, and she has always been waiting. Then one day two U. S marshalls looking for a girl who might just be perfect for the job. With her pick pocketing skills and a quick-witted mouth. She just might be the girl the U. S marshalls are looking for. But is she willing to join the witness protection and help in the project Project Family?
Fun read to start a series for middle grades

Greetings from Witness Protection is a strong middle-grade read with excellent voice and an original premise. Charlotte, a perennial foster child, joins the Trevor family to strengthen their cover in witness protection. Her entrance into their family is filled with the unique peril of her situation. The novel is a perfect balance of action and adventure, emotion, and humor.
My sixth grader and I got a kick out of this mention of The Amber Spyglass in the book we‘re reading together. We just finished The Golden Compass, so this was a very timely reference.
Also I‘ve gotta love a sassy middle school character who is also well-read.

Really enjoying this snarky middle grade book as a read-aloud with my 6th grade daughter. Our Scholastic rep *insisted* that she needed to read it since it is laugh-out-loud funny. Seems to be a solid recommendation so far!

Really enjoying the set up and premise of this story. Love the narrator‘s voice and the humor.
Pitch perfect middle-grade mystery. Nicki (Charlotte) is such a perfectly earnest character, and I loved this story of second chances and kids getting to be awesome.
