Romana and The Great Khan, whom I‘m assuming is Ghengis what a scene. This is classic Adams. I‘ve been happily impressed. I cant tell where the coauthor James Goss takes over.

Halfway through book and it‘s very good. Still keeping my interest and characters that I thought wouldn‘t connect together have. Can‘t wait to see how this all plays out.

KathyWheeler I still have not forgiven Elizabeth George for that awful What Came Before He Shot Her. It‘s been years — perhaps it‘s time. 7y
HollyMcMiller I know what you mean about What Came Before He Shot Her. I still kept on and I have to say out of the most recent Lynley books this one and the one before it seems like she‘s coming back to the early days. 7y

Ahh Lynley and Havers back together. Forgot how well they work together. Love Barb‘s thoughts as she watches Lynley handle the Chief Constable with The Voice. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of this plays out. And how much longer Ardery is going to be sticking around...

I didn‘t like Ardery all that much when they first introduced her now at the end of part one really not liking her. Not liking Hillier that much either trying to get rid of our duo. Granted Havers can be a bit of a loose cannon at times but she‘s a damn good Detective and Lynley knows it too. Can‘t wait to see how the rest of this plays out.

Doctor Who and the Krikkitmen | Douglas Adams, James Goss

Loving this so far. Interesting start to the story and typical Douglas Adams humor. Looking forward to the rest of the ride.

GondorGirl I'll be anxious to hear if the entire book reads like a Douglas Adams book. In 'Shadra' you could obviously tell which parts were written by Adams and which weren't. 7y

About halfway through the book and really enjoying it. I know I could probably finish this in one sitting but I‘m making myself take my time. Lots of good twists and turns that are keeping me guessing

I enjoyed this book. It gives more insight into Rose‘s character and that of her sister, Paige, and Admiral Holdo. It kept my interest.

Almost done with this story. Pretty darn good. Can‘t wait to see how this ends.

KathyWheeler I don‘t always like novelizations of Supernatural, but this one was pretty good. 7y
HollyMcMiller Yeah a few of them have been hit or miss. I still enjoy them because it‘s more adventures with the Winchester Brothers 7y

Armada: A Novel | Ernest Cline

A few chapters in and I'm enjoying it. A lot of 80s pop culture references. It's not in the same universe as Ready Player One but I'm still enjoying the ride and the main characters so far and the mystery that has appeared.

KathyWheeler I liked Armada -- not as much as Ready Player One -- but I liked it. 7y

Almost done with this book. Takes place during season six and the question is brought up yet again if Ben isn't Dean's son with Lisa. I know it's been mentioned in the show that he's not but then again it's really hard to say. I can see both sides of the argument. Really enjoying going back and rereading the tv tie ins. Next one will be one I haven't read at all.

KathyWheeler I can see both sides of the issue too. On the one hand, Ben behaves a lot like Dean; on the other hand, Dean's machismo is not uncommon. I've only read two Supernatural books -- 1 was okay and one was awful. Maybe I'll check this one out 7y
HollyMcMiller @KathyWheeler I've read the majority of the Supernatural books out there and there have been only a few that were so-so. I always make sure to check the first few pages to see if there's an author's note as to when the story takes place. Do you remember which two that you read? (edited) 7y

About halfway through. Enjoying this. Remember reading this when it first came out and hadn't seen too many episodes of season 5 or 6 but having been all caught up now going back and rereading this makes it that much better.

So far so good with this one. Takes place in the early part of season six. Just got to a point in the book where Crowley shows up and talks with Samuel Campbell. Voices of the characters are ringing true. Will update as I get further in.

annkuch13 This is my favorite of the Supernatural novels that I've read. 7y
Emilyrjones22 I'll have to read this one. I've loved some (a few miss the mark on the boys' voices). 7y

Just got to the scene where Jamie finally gets a letter from Jenny and I love both Jamie and Claire's reaction when Jenny skips to another topic after mentioning something about Laoghaire and not going on at that moment. Kind of reminds me of the scene from Doc Hollywood when the Doctor is reading a letter for one of his patients and they want to know more about a certain relationship.

A few chapters in and really enjoying it. The dialogue has been great. Especially the scene with Bobby and the boys celebrating New Years. FYI this books takes place during the third season shortly after A Very Supernatural Christmas

DGRachel I didn't know they had Supernatural books! 😱 8y
HollyMcMiller They do. There's 17 of them. 3 are not stories, 2 of the 3 are journals ( John and Bobby's) and the other is a book of monsters that were in the early years of the show 8y
annkuch13 I just saw that there are books that take place in season 10 that I need to read! The books are just so fun! 8y
