pickI‘m not a knowledgeable Marvel person, and superhero comics are not hugely appealing to me, but I am a fan of author Gabby Rivera, and oh my goodness I love this superhero.
America Chavez is attending Sotomayor University where she‘s taking a class called “Intergalactic Revolutionaries & You” and, well, saving the world of course. Highly entertaining and so much fun to read.

The kids were up earlier (before 7!) but decided to have a snuggle upstairs with all their stuffed animals, so a bit of peace while I have a slice of sour cherry cake and some tea. What are you up to today? The air quality here is still in the unhealthy zone so nothing outdoorsy for us.

Started off my reading for 2018 with some comics; America, issues 1 through 5. The @bookriot read harder challenge this year has three comic book prompts so I thought I'd tick those off nice and early. So glad I chose America, such a unique voice in the comic landscape, something we need more off.

Was reading Juliet Takes a Breath and ran over to our local Comic Book Store to get these. They were out of 3 and4, but I got them for my Kindle.

Today I discovered my LCS has a couple of bargain bins full of recent (and recentish) issues. Even better, they had a discounted copy of AMERICA #1! I wasn't quick enough to grab it before it left the New Releases rack, so this was a happy find indeed.
