And #hailthebail again! I just can't stand the misogyny anymore. I've read 160 pages of 700 something, and I just can't go on. Not going to read any more by Liu, I guess.

As with most short story collections, it was a mixed bunch. There were a few I loved and some were quite haunting. However, this is a rare case where the movie is better than the title story.
Would recommend this if you enjoyed The Three-Body Problem.
#quoteoftheday I've only been reading translated SFF for a year or so, and I'm loving it! Reading a familiar genre from a very different perspective and culture is really quite fascinating. Western scifi tends to be more individualistic and character-driven while Cixin Liu's books focus much more on big plots - the characters are relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of things.
