I listened to the audio, but neither the narrator nor the story made this interesting enough to really listen to what was going on. I rarely paid attention. Oh, and cousins getting married kind of creeps me out

It was enjoyable, though not quite as much as Eight Cousins. There was also a little bit of a creep factor with all the aunts expecting Rose to marry one of her cousins and keep her fortune in the family.

I haven‘t read this sequel to Eight Cousins but I love this cover!
I just discovered that two authors who've given me much pleasure over the years, Louisa May Alcott and CS Lewis, were both born on this day. 🎂
It's already been used today but it fits the prompt's lyrics too well! Here's a different cover. #KissFromARose #LyricalApril
"Keep good company, read good books, love good things and cultivate soul and body as faithfully and wisely as you can"
•I've got the good company, good books, and good things down pat here on #Litsy with the amazing Littens I've met and will meet! ?

When I was little I read an article about a girl who decided to read every book in the library. I thought that was a great idea and started in the children's section. I did not get very far but I did read a lot of Alcott. #kissfromarose #lyricalapril
Eight Cousins was such a quick read that I decided to include the sequel in my April pick for a classic by a woman.
Louisa May Alcott was one of my favorite authors growing up, and I cherish my collection of her books. This seems a very Litsy appropriate quote to share in recognition of her birthday today.
