The first of four #bookswaps arrived yesterday! Adding this one to the #TBR stack...

Melismatic I traded the tagged book in this comment for the book in the photo. Fingers crossed I enjoy it as much as I did ‘Mirage‘! 5y

While I wanted to love a book discussing themes like corporate power, aliens and virtual reality, this book was aimed for a young YA reader. Great for a companion read with a teen, lots of talking points. Full review on my blog, link in my bio. #bookstagram #bookreview #bookblog #ya #ireadya #yalovin #booklife #booklove

Hmm... essentially a condensed and less well written version of the Lunar Chronicles.

I liked the concept and plot but the author started the story in the middle of it but didn't proceed to explain anything. There's a ton of useless info dumping. There really isn't any character or world development. I don't know that I would've finished it w/o the audiobook.

Came off as a debut author's work yet Weber has several publications so I expected more

Chelsey Too bad 6y
Laurenspageturners I actually dnfed this one - I just wasn‘t into it and I really struggled so... I have seen similar reviews as well 6y

I'm gonna give this one a shot. I picked it up and then heard some mixed things from people and then heard it was Christian Fiction which I don't tend to enjoy but I'll give it a try...

Laurenspageturners I ended up DNFing this - I hope you enjoy it better than I did! 😊 6y

i didn't hate it, but i didn't love it. Although the ending was crazy - and that cliff hanger was ginormous - the rest of the book had me struggling to keep reading.

I'm so sad to say that I didn't like this book and I really wanted to. The biggest problem was the lack of explanation. I had no ideia what was really going most of the time. It came to a point that I was just pushing through the book because I was completely lost. Because of that I found myself not caring about the characters. The end was interesting and the last chapter caught my attention but I don't think I'll read the next book.

geek.meow Oh that's bad :( it's sad when we can't truly enjoy reading a book. 7y
bookishmoonchild @geek.meow yes! I hate when it happens, specially when we really want to read the book. :/ 7y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sofi is passionate and real, a beautiful yet broken heroine who shows us what it's like to fight for those you love.

I have a lot of books on my way too optimistic TBR weekend pile. I'll probably only finish two of these (because I've already started them).

TheBookHippie Sarah Dessen!!!!! Serious jealously 😂😂💗📚 7y
CatLadyBibliophile @TheBookHippie I'm halfway through that one! It's SO good. 7y

This was an author letter in an ARC that a publishing house sent to me, so it was sent by the publisher and not the author. It didn't come with any other info about the book, and this author letter didn't really tell me anything about this book, or what inspired her to write it, etc. just quirkiness about her life.

I really, really, really hope this isn't some new plan to target millennial readers 😞

Moray_Reads Ugh. There is nothing about that "letter" I don't hate. Wouldn't really make me want to read the book! 7y
RanaElizabeth Yeah, I''m out. There is no way I would read the book after that letter. 7y
angrylilasian I was offered an ARC and I was on the fence. That letter makes me think I was right in turning it down. 😕 7y

Another adult ISL cover on YA, but based on description I think it fits. And it's not so adult that a 8th grader won't pick it up. #coverlove
