I actually didn‘t put this book down from the moment I started it until it was done. The romance was so cute and sweet and I needed more!

I know i had issues with one or two extremely minor things, but overall this was so much fun. Kestra was so headstrong and defiant and wonderful. and Simon?? 😍 He‘s so adorable I couldn‘t handle it.

It kept me guessing until the last page. I still don‘t know how to respond to all of what i just read.

Oh my god y‘all I finally finished Children of Blood and Bone and I‘m just... wow.

This is one of my top 3 reads of the year (so far) - I‘m so bad at choosing a favorite read of the year 🙈

The world. And the magic. And the heartbreak. I‘m in pieces still. I cried so hard.

What an amazing read. I couldn‘t put it down.

Oh my god guys I finished Daughter of the Siren Queen and 😱😭😩

Let me start off by saying that I thought this was going to be a trilogy and so I thought I had more time. I found out at page 248 it was not.

And then I cried. Hard.

I couldn‘t put it down from the moment I started it until I finished it. Such a wild adventure. Alosa is my sister soul. I‘d join her crew in a heartbeat 😍 (Rah!)

Yup. I‘m dead.

Yes, my face is hidden because I was legit sobbing. 😭

Amanda Lovelace is one of my must-buy/auto-buy authors, and so when I saw she had written another book of poetry I had to get my hands on it and it absolutely blew me away.

Definitely trigger warnings necessary when you read her material, but definitely worth the read. She speaks to you in a way no one else does.

This was such a fun, fast-paced, steampunk adventure that I couldn‘t put it down - especially since it had this video game feel to the world that was kind of cool.

I loved this world that was created, of monochrome and rainbows and magic and machine.

I loved the characters and the descriptions and Overwatch meets Hellgate London feel the cities had.

I enjoyed this one. A whole lot.

The Suze does not look happy 😂

So my mom gave me this book. It was really weird. And strangely had me pulled in wanting to know what happens next.

The premise is not explained. Anywhere. So i went in blind and came out oddly entertained.

As a retelling goes, this was so much fun. It was a mash-up of sleeping beauty and snow white and cinderella mixed in with fantasy and sci-fi and it was definitely... interesting.

So this has been on my tbr for six years so i figured: why not?

I think i should‘ve left it that way but it‘s okay. It was a great historical piece. I couldn‘t care for the characters and i felt a lot of the plot was very “forest of coincidence.”

But i loved the setting and the atmosphere. Hated the insta-love.

This book had me kind of meh. i didn‘t hate it. Didn‘t love it. it floated in between all of it to just... exist. I wasn‘t a fan of any of the characters and had no sympathy for any of them when things happened, so it didn‘t help, but the story was interesting. I also couldn‘t understand how algae could bring a patient home when it‘s totally against the rules. But okay.

This was so beautifully written that I was pulled in quickly by all of the imagery. The plot was well thought out, and although it was another book with assassins (of COURSE it had assassins) it was still a breath of fresh air.

I couldn‘t get enough of this. Although i wished at one point she‘d stop pining over Val. 🙄

Either way, I‘ll definitely be looking at the companion novel to this in the future. I was so hooked ♥️♥️

I don‘t know. I don‘t know if I‘ll read the sequel. I want to, but, like, only for the ending.

I had a hard time getting into this one, with the love interest always being on her mind like 110% of the time. Just stop. I couldn‘t handle it anymore.

But then the world was so wonderfully constructed that I looked past it. I loved the mythology being built in this, like way more than I should.

It was certainly entertaining. 3⭐️

So I liked it. Didn‘t love it. But there‘s a reason, and it‘s mainly because it felt a lot like a few other books I‘ve read over the last year.

But of course I enjoyed the writing and the rich setting. I loved how wonderfully rich everything felt, from the descriptions to the language.

So I‘ve been raving about this book since I started it, and I‘m not going to lie, it was totally worth every moment of suspense for me.

I loved Kamzin and her attitude, though she needed to shut up and stop her nonsense and just climb after a while. Which she did. Which I loved. She was such a fun character to follow from start to finish, and her journey is fabulously done.

I loved every moment of this. 4.5⭐️

Overall, this book tired me out. Sal‘s story felt very generic, it was every other competition/assassin type book rolled into one and honestly it annoyed me how easy it was for her - or him, depending on the day - to accomplish something that seemed so impossible at the beginning.

However, the end did surprise me. And yet it didn‘t. I liked it. 3.5⭐️

So after three months of not reading, I finally picked up a book. And of course it's the Hobbit ♥️

My meds have been kicking my butt, which leads me to why i haven't been reading: turns out I developed nerve damage after the surgery so between the pain, the meds, and my writing I have no time nor attention span to read.

So I'm going to try to read a book a week until the end of the year.

Also? I am LOVING my collectors edition of the Hobbit ♥️

Well, research has been going so great lately that all I do now is write and research and then write some more.

And all of this research is helping me dive into unexplored layers of my own subconscious that I can't complain.

The tarot has always fascinated me, and, now that I'm taking the time to sit down and really study everything, I'm starting to come up with some awesome ideas.

And, of course, chocolate. 🤤🍫♥️

1) Those are totally Darth Vader place mats 😬

2) I actually haven't been reading lately 😭 it makes me so sad but at the same time there is a good reason why:

Lately I've been doing more writing and, when I'm focused on my own stories, I tend to not read anything else except for books for research.

This book has been a great read so far, but I'm also staring longingly at Tower of Dawn on my shelf.

Should I write or read? 🤔

I loved Carys, but i hated Andreus the moment we are introduced to him. Not only that, but for twins who are inseparable they were very easily separated.

The way the book was written wasn't appealing, and it had me struggling to remain invested in the story.

It breaks my heart when I don't like a book, but I did like certain elements (i.e. the plot, Carys, the vague magic that made no sense but totally called from the get-go).
