#LilithJuly #DooWop Some of the most collectible records are of early & obscure doowop groups , really a movement of guys singing a cappella on the stoops of Brooklyn. Some songs like Earth Angel by the Starlighters & some of the songs on the American Graffiti soundtrack like Why do Fools Fall in Love by Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers were big hits.Frankie had a voice of an Angel!They were from Harlem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q96ylFiQK_I

Leftcoastzen @Centique So I should be reading, when I got it out to take the photo, I had to listen to it.😂😍George Lucas was brilliant before Star Wars ! One of the early films to use original songs as a soundtrack, early Harrison Ford appearance..I could go on... (edited) 5y

So it's Graffiti weekend here in Modesto California. We went to the parade tonight. I love nostalgia. As a teenager we used to cruise like they did in the movie. It's not legal now but they do up the cars shows. 😊
