If you want an in depth look at the enneagram, this is your book. Very well written. A little academic, but still comprehendable for a layperson.

I'm either a 5 or a 9 which, it turns out, are often mistaken for each other. Sometimes I'm convinced I'm one,.then other days I'm convinced I'm the other. 6y

Fascinating book. I did find it a little long-winded at times. So I skimmed over the parts that I didn't feel applied to me or my family. But, all the same, it's a fantastic reference book and it's insights are truly spot on. I'll probably come back to it many times

Alright Litsy, so based off this, what's your best guess for your Enneagram number? Or if you know yours already, what is it? I'm curious! I'm a 1, or for those of you who know Enneagram 1w2 :)

saresmoore My husband says I'm a 15 because I exhibit characteristics of both 1 & 5! Personally, I identify as 5w4. I loved The Road Back to You, by the way! 7y

Caterina I love the Enneagram! I'm a 1w2 also!! 😄 I've done an excellent job working on my 9 wing in recent years though. 😃 7y

mom2bugnbee Okay, so I don't know this book, but I'm gleaning from comments that the first number is your dominant one, & then the "w" is one side or the other of your dominant that fits you? I'm definitely a 9, & if my thoughts are correct, then I'm a 9w8. Am I doing this right? ? 7y

maximoffs @Caterina yay for working on w9!! I am doing that a lot these days. @mom2bugnbee somewhat yes! Your number is your number, and then you have a "wing" which is one of the numbers to the side whose traits you also have. A 1w9 operates differently than a 1w2 so to say. But that's the jist! This is the Enneagram, it's really cool! 7y

maximoffs @emilyesears internet quizzes are super unreliable when it comes to the Enneagram! The best way is to listen to people talk about the numbers, or read about them. But you have to read about all of them 7y

Karkar I am a 4 but I cannot remember what my second one is...my aunt is very into Enneagram. She goes to conferences and everything. It gave me great insight as to why my Grandmother was the way she was. 7y
