Current read ... anyone read it? It sounds fascinating!
Currently reading for my book club ... really good so far but really dark! I‘ll keep you posted! Any of you read this one yet?
Up next ... I need some lightness while also reading The Librarian of Auschwitz which is wonderful but heavy and dark. This should help me find some balance! #currentlyreading #book #bookstagram #bookish #booknerd #reading #bookaholic #bookaddict #ilovebooks #bookgeek #readersofinstagram
Wow! What a beautiful book! This totally lived up to the hype! It‘s a story in verse which made it all the more special! This is my first Jacqueline Woodson but I doubt it will be the last! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me! So moving and full of heart! Highly recommend!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars! I was so excited for this one and I think it really delivered! I like the way the author approached the Anna Anderson/Anastasia story! Pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it!
Picked up several books today while out and about! So happy with my pile! Which of these do you recommend I pick up first?
Book haul from my local indie today! So excited! Added to my Olive Edition collection plus picked up 3 titles I have been eying!
Picked up the beautiful edition for my collection! It‘s a 2002 edition by Barnes and Noble. The color is much more vibrant than the photo!
Bookish Quote of the Week on the blog! Link in my profile! 📚💚📚💚
Also starting this one ... I‘ve been meaning to for awhile and think it‘s time to dig in! I‘m expecting it to teach me so much!
Quite liked this one but it was very different than I expected going in. Really compelling story, interesting narrative voices. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!
Just started and already loving this one! Have you read it?
Reading this now and loving it! So glad I finally picked it up! Have you read this one?
100 pages in and loving this one so far! Beautiful book! But very dark! And that cover ... wow!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This novel is not for everyone. A dystopian story about the lives of women after the government has changed laws about abortion, adoption and more. Told in varying perspectives (in an almost experimental way), it was challenging to get connected with the story at first but once I did, I got quite a bit out of this book. I‘ve seen a lot of mixed reviews which I totally understand now that I have read it! But, for me, I liked this one!
Starting this tonight. It‘s one I‘m reading as part of the #diversebookclub - I‘m looking forward to digging in! Have any of you read this one?
I‘m a bit obsessed with the Ennneagram at the moment. Here is my current stack and I just bought another one at the local indie! I‘m a 9, through and through. Do any of you know your enneagram number?
My current read ... I‘m almost finished. Have any of you read this? What did you think?
Reading this one and loving it! Totally deserving of all the buzz I have been hearing! Can‘t wait to see where it goes ...
I am hearing great things about this one so I‘m adding it to my bookshelf!
And another for my social justice stack! I‘ve heard great things ...
Picked this up tonight after hearing the author interviewed on a podcast... can‘t wait to dig into this one.
Went to the bookstore today and couldn‘t walk out without a new book for my growing social justice TBR pile! This one looks fascinating!
Up next from my social justice stack of books! I‘ve heard so many great things! I can‘t wait to dig in! Have any of you read this one? If so, what did you think?
Wow! Such a thorough exploration of whiteness. If you‘re interested in social justice and better understanding race, this is a great one to pick up. Not an easy read but so rewarding. Not a dry book but very detailed and thought provoking.
This is not a book for the faint at heart. This is an intense and disturbing read. Although I liked it, there are some issues with it for me - most of which come from having a man write about a girls perspective with sexual violence. It‘s tricky ... very tricky. All in all, I‘m glad I read it but it‘s not for everyone. If you like dark and don‘t mind violence, you may want to try this one. But, be warned, it‘s a tough read!
This book! Wow! Not for everyone but so far I‘m enjoying it. Just brutal! 100 pages left and then I‘ll come let you know how I like it!
About 100 pages in, savoring every word! She amazes me ... so smart, so brave and so fascinating! (Haven‘t started Brene Brown‘s book yet but another that I am excited about)
Look what came in the mail! Love Anne Bogel! So excited about this book! Very up my alley!
Also picked these two up this week. One for my social justice stack and one for my poetry stack! Can‘t wait to start digging in!
Learning so much as I work my way through this one! As I continue to add to the social justice books I‘m focusing on reading, I think this has been a great book to start with.
Starting this one ... have any of you read it?
Putting this one aside for now. I'm 100 pages in and just not connecting. I'll try again later! Have you read this one? Did you like it?
Starting this one tonight! It sounds fantastic!
A few weeks ago, I read my first Nora Roberts and I have read two of her series so far! Now I am finishing up the Three Sisters Island trilogy. And it's fantastic! I'm finding them to be amazing palette cleansers as I read more intense literary fiction!
I haven't read this one yet. Given the political climate in the US today, it feels particularly relevant!
Very dark and unsettling - 5 stars! Highly recommend, especially given the current political climate in the US!
My bedside table at the moment. I need to get reading! I'm 2 chapters in to Thinking, Fast and Slow! And abut halfway through The E-Myth Revisited.
Also reading now ... and it's fascinating!
5 stars! Loved it so much. Beautiful writing, thoughtful novel! Highly recommend!
Starting this one now ... have any of you read it yet?
