Another good #24in48 pick. This was a quick read that was insightful, if a bit uneven. I‘m still not a huge graphic novel fan, but it cleanses my palate and entertained.

I thought this would be a fun read for #24in48. We‘ll see. I struggle with graphic novels. But this one starts off with a quote by Yeezy so I think it‘s written for me. 😂😂✌🏻

Fun! I‘d seen some of the illustrations on instagram, but definitely planning to try the daal recipe.

I loved the artwork in this! It‘s a quick funny read for anyone with overbearing family. It is body positive and feminist. 3.5 ⭐️

Evening reading 📖

I thought it was a graphic novel but it ended up being more like those joke books? Some fun info graphics and gimmicks.

"I was sixteen, and I only cared about a boy when he brought me food." Aaaaaahhhhh this book is the best.

I'm loving this book a lot! It's incredibly relatable in a lot of ways. The art and text is fabulous and is one of those books that makes one feel better about life and their "bad life decision" to not go into/ get the hell out of corporate hell.

As soon as I saw this "tongue-in-cheek guide" to surviving South Asian aunties I jokingly asked my Indian boyfriend to get me a copy. Because he knows the best way to my heart is books, and he knows his family, he complied ? ? ? it was a great read.
