The Brain Fog Fix
The Brain Fog Fix: Reclaim Your Focus, Memory, and Joy in Just 3 Weeks | Mike Dow
8 posts | 5 read | 8 to read
Is stress preventing you from enjoying your daily life? Do you find that youre becoming more distracted or forgetful? Are the blues sapping your spirits? Or do you simply feel not quite like yourself? If you want to reclaim you focus, memory, and joy, youre not alone. There are millions of people fighting against the epidemic of brain fog thats sweeping the nation. The good news: Its not an irreparable condition; rather its a side effect of modern-day living. Many of the foods we eat and the habits we have do not support our brains. We no longer get what we need in order to produce essential brain chemicals that keep us energized, calm, focused, optimistic, and inspired. And even worse, our choices could lead to long-term problems, like dementia, Alzheimers disease, depression, and anxiety. Sadly, if you look at the way most of us live, it seems almost as though weve chosen a lifestyle deliberately intended to undermine our brain chemistry and our health. Fortunately, there is a solution. The Brain Fog Fix is an easy-to-follow three-week program designed to help naturally restore three of your brains most crucial hormones: serotonin, dopamine, and cortisol. Rebalancing these chemicals will in turn enable the rest of your brains chemistry to reach optimal levels. Each week of the program focuses on a different element of your life:In week 1, youll improve your mood by modifying your diet and using cognitive strategies to overcome pitfall thought patterns. In week 2, youll increase your energy by focusing on sleep, exercise, and memory-boosting games. In week 3, youll enhance your spirit through practices that help you connect to something larger than yourself and enable you to rediscover your joy in life. By the end of this simple program, youll be thinking more clearly, remembering more accurately, learning more quickly, and unleashing the floodgates of your creativity. And youll simply feel better for now and in the long term.

Totally got value out of hearing good reminders about how to take care of myself. I‘d consider this book a good read for people like me who just need to hear healthy messaging on a consistent basis to promote consistency in their habits. The info isn‘t earth shattering, but I like some of the more personal recommendations from the author. If you‘re looking to truly follow his three-week plan, I‘d suggest a physical copy of the book.

Enjoying this audiobook. Nothing earth shattering in terms of healthy living info, but I like hearing how different people integrate foods, exercise, and good habits into their routines. Plus I find books like this one motivating to keep me on track with my health goals.

KathyWheeler I think that‘s true — for me anyway. When my daughter was in the hospital as a baby, I stayed with her all day and all night. I fainted and ended up in the ER because I wasn‘t eating or sleeping. That same daughter had to remind me to eat & sleep when my husband was in the hospital last year. She also pushed me to go for walks and do yoga. (edited) 2y
DogMomIrene @KathyWheeler Your daughter sounds incredibly supportive! People who nudge us toward good decisions are invaluable. The quote spoke to me too. Definitely helping me reframe how I see and define self care. 2y
KathyWheeler @DogMomIrene She really is very supportive and has been so much help to me. 2y

My goals: I‘d like to read 12 books, meditate 4x weekly, exercise (small walk or stationary bike) 2x weekly, and learn some stretching 1x weekly.

With my head literally in the clouds today (and figuratively for a month), I figured this was a much needed read. #nonfiction #audiobook
